anything that has to do with drawing blood..like needles, razors, box cutters..I am SO afraid of them that i have to avoid them at all costs.

the thing is i used to be a "cutter" for 7 years and have stopped and never went back to that habit again.

do you think i avoid those things because they remind me of a painful past that i want to forget????

The explanation from two places that exchanged currency is that the rates you see on websites like xe.com are the rates when banks trade millions of dollars, and actual consumer-level rates are different. Is this true?

in my friends dream she is in her social studies class and this boy in our grade takes her school planner from her and it turns out in the dream it was her diary and she had wrote stuff about the boy she liked in it and he read it in front of the whole class. She thought it was real until the moment she woke up? What does her dream mean. Oh and she actually likes this guy in real life not just in the dream.

When you talk to a man, or describe him using words like guy, lad, boy, man, fella, hon

or to a woman using words like lass, chick, woman, lady, babe, hon

Do you think it is significant?

What words do you normally use? When do you use them?

Have you had anyone in your life to say that to you? No matter how you feel about yourself they keep reminding you of the fact. Do you ever get to feeling that you are in fact beautiful or is beauty only in the eyes of the one looking at you. I have had a couple of people tell me that but somehow it doesnt soak in to my brain..Let me hear what you gotta say on this difficult subject.

With the way the economy is going...increased food and gas prices, no increase in income, loss of jobs, seriously declining housing market....will we be facing another Great Depression soon? If so, what can we do to prevent it? Or how can we keep our families safe?

Make sure it doesn't fit into the catagory based on:

They say dumb things

They have made foolish mistakes

They did something you disagree with

I'm talking about stupid as in, incapable of being smart, not in a situation - but everyday and every second of that day. And not mentaly retarded/damaged people either.

Ok so I had this dream where I am at this party. We're all in the kitchen and everything is white.. The party is for the end of the century and everyone is counting down to the new century..(Everyone is saying that the world will end then)..Then we finally count down to zero and we all start floating up into the sky (Heaven I'm guessing)..Then I woke up...
It was such a freaky dream..Any ideas what this could symbolize?

Thanks :)

What are the visible symptoms in children who are involved in this form of abuse? What are the sypmtoms of the parents where this condition exists.

Does is occur more in only children or where there are siblings?

What type of adults are prone to this disease?

I'm doing an essay on how students don't like to go to school because of boredom, or something along those lines, and then, they do not do well in school. Your input would be very much appreciated. Just tell me if that is the case for you. If not, tell me what your case is, and I will refer to you in my essay. Thanks!

“[Research] results suggest that feminists are most likely to be highly educated, urban women who self-identify as liberals and Democrats. Feminist self-identification significantly relates to views about the impact of the women’s movement and to core causes of gender inequality."

What about age as a factor? I submit that we can add to that list women old enought to possess a working MEMORY of how life used to be - 'before feminism'. Confounding this would be religiosity, I think: the more religious the woman, the less likely she would be to self-identify. Another factor: older women have lost much of their earlier societal programming; they are less focussed on pleasing people & more likely to be outspoken.

Thoughts? Have you talked to older women about what life used to be like?

I am 23 and when I was little I never had a problem, as I got older it seems I have a harder time talking and saying things without stuttering when I am even just a tiny bit nervous or around certain people.

Guys how true do you think the following statement is:

"Often, when a woman says something, it is not what she means. But, other times, she says exactly what she means. It is only possible to distinguish these two cases if you are a woman. Since women already know the nature of women, this is of no use to them. For men, we can only hope to distinguish the difference, for a mistake in judgement can result in death."

Agree or disagree?

yes, they still happen. i'm actually watching a "True Life" right now about it. Also, Bust magazine printed an article about modern Indian women who choose arranged marriages. These ladies call themselves feminists.

i think if it works for them, great, but i could never trust my family to pick my husband.

your thoughts?
