I think you can change certain aspects of your personality, in terms of how you present yourself to others. The way to do this is to change your values. I define values as those ideas that we live by and which guide our thoughts, feelings and behaviours. They tend to be ingrained and operate on a subconscious level, so it can be a challenge uncovering them, especially if they have been instilled at a young age. To truly change our values, we need to be convinced that they are better or more functional then the old ones, since we are rational beings. Reading has been an important source for me to draw from in this process, which is ongoing.

why would you do that? as long as your personality isnt hurting anyone then you shouldnt change it and dont change your whole persona for someone becuase their not worth the time.....

Don't try to change everything all at once. Pick a couple of trait you want to work on and try to modify your behavior in thoase areas. Once you are satisfied, pick another couple of traits. Etc. Good luck.
