There's an expression: It's better to be alone than to have bad company. I use my alone time to read, do some crafts, watch a show, or just answer these questions. There's a certain comfort in knowing that I like my own company.
Good Luck.!

I hate being alone. I'm very people oriented and I really don't like to be by myself. After my wife died last year I've had a lot of alone time and I really don't like it. I'm constantly trying to get out and meet new people. But still I live alone and I am alone much of the time because I'm on disability and still am not where I can work yet, so I spend a lot of time going to the gym and working on rehabilitating myself.
Like it's a job. I don't know why it's hard for me. I think we were created to need each other and it's just not good for a man to be alone.
what can I say.

Yes, at night when I have to go to sleep by myself I am scared shitless. I hear every noise possible and probably noises that don't even exist. I know it is all in my head because I am a freak, but I don't know how to move away from being scared. I had a very traumatic experience a few years ago when I was just about asleep by myself and haven't been able to be alone since.

Being alone meaning out of a relationship, no, I m not afraid of that.
Being alone in a room either.
Being alone, meaning feel that I don't have anyone in the world, is a really scary thought. But I know I ll never be alone, cause I m lucky enough to have people in my life who really care about me, love me and be there for me no matter what. And of course, I feel the sme way about them to.

Mmm...sometimes, if I think about it too deeply. I have been through a divorce so I know that I can handle things on my own. But, I have also remarried and find myself very dependent on my husband most of the time -- when I should be doing certain things on my own. I think way ahead into the future (I hope it will be WAY ahead!) .. when he passes away and I am left on this Earth without him ... will I be able to do certain things that he normally takes care of? Finances, handling car troubles, etc. I do get scared sometimes ...

Yes. If I was all alone in the world with no-one to see ever again thenYES. I don't mind being alone for a day, but not for life.

I enjoy being alone... but I'm what you would call introverted.
I'm not anti-social... it's just that I'm comfortable enough in my own skin to like my own company.
I alos like the company of others tooo... it's just that after so many housr of being around people I need my alone time too.

You are only alone if you want to be. I feel God is always with me. I can always talk to him and I usually get answers. I spend a lot of time alone, my kids are grown and have thier family's. I am sure my neighbors think I am luny when I talk with no one here but I am SURE the right one is listening.
So far he hasn't laughed, I don't think
