Agree, most women hint about what they want and test guys to see how worthy they are which is when they are not hoenst about what they are saying. However, at times we are honest, but it's during serious times generally.

It's almost right...obviously a quote from a man...
Often, when a woman says something, it is not what she means *(men do not understand what she means)* . But, other times, she says exactly what she means*(she speaks in ways he can understand)*. It is only possible to distinguish these two cases if you are a woman. Since women already know the nature of women, this is of no use to them. For men, we can only hope to distinguish the difference, for a mistake in judgement can result in death." *(swift death)*

When you cry wolf one too many times, people will shrug you off and will not take what you say, serious. It's like yelling fire amongst a crowd, when there is no fire. So in that sense, I do agree, when you straddle the fence, it's impossible for anyone to distinguish what you mean. Who's fault will it then be? The one who misjudged what was said? Or the one playing with their meanings? I would tend to sway towards the one who is playing with their meaning and not directing clear communication.
And then there's the contradicting line of, "I don't mean to be rude, but..." and then give a rude comment. You either mean it, or you don't. You can't contradict yourself, and then, give the rude comment. It confuses the hell out of people. If you want someone to take you serious? Then, mean what you say and stick with it. Using the "I don't mean to be" line, is an excuse to express what you really mean, without repercussion.

disagree.........
women do indeed speak how and what they feel very often. it's the other woman that women can't feel out in most cases. that's why their guy is stolen right under their noses.
most women can express themselves with out saying a word. it's with the eyes, they roll em, the nose, they turn up, its the lower lip, they snarl em. it's their hair, when they throw it back or run their hands though it and it's their remarks that a male will catch.....the #1 remarks......a couple comes home after an outing with friends.......the man......honey you want me to fix you something to drink?........woman.......NO, I'LL FIX IT MYSELF......now the man ask........what did i do?.....woman......I SAW THE WAY YOU LOOKED AT ?????????......it's not what she said, it's how she said it.....when the man goes to defend himself, that's the trap, he caught and he is so confuse that the woman will make him feel as if he done wrong, but he really don't know where.
i do agree that men will not often understand what a women want or say, and that is only because most men is self center and have other thing on their mind. i'm not trying to excuse the men, but to let them know that if they truly love their woman, this is truly a must, for how a woman respond to her man at night, depends on how her man treated her that day...........

it's called being passive aggressive. a trait probably more common in woman in men, true, but certainly evident in men as well.
