Munchausen by Proxy is not a disease; it is a behavior and also a crime. It usually happens with mothers that are seeking attention; they will do something to make the child sick then take the child to the doctor and come out looking like a hero. Symptoms vary with this. You have to look at the actions of the mother (parent) and the personality. Also, look for a child who gets deathly sick too often.
You can search the term and get tons of information.

I don't believe that there are visible symptons that a child is being abuse for their parents's wish for attention. I think that the condition probably stems from someone who is jealous of their children getting the attention that they missed as a child. This is someone who is unable to be mature and responsible as the care of their child(ren) will be placed on a professional. Interestingly, the parent who abuses usually will have an unsual grasp of medical knowledge.
Good Luck.!

Basically the adult needs attention and in order to get it they deliberately make their loved ones sick over and over til caught. Not all people who need attention use this method to get it. Unfortunately the reason they do get away with it so long is the child is young, teachers do not know what it is or what symptoms to look for and they go from ER to ER-they don't have a medical record at one place.

I am not surprised that it is hard to prove as there are no symptoms as such and I wouldn,t personally call it a disease but that is my opinion I only heard of it by hearing about and reading the case of Beverly allit the nurse who killed babies on the hospital ward who were ill and she was supposed to be their carer but turned out to be their killer and in this case what symptoms could there be as the babies were ill anyway.

I think that kids who just seem to always be sick, and are afraid of mom or dad
I think that adults who are prone to this are ones who are selfish, need constant attention and praise

i've heard that its mostly women who do it to their kids
they do it in order to get attention because they abuse their kids, so they take them to the doctor, and the doctor asks them "what happened?" , therefore putting the spot light on the mothers so they can make up whatever answer they want.

Females are way more prone to do that to their children.
