Do you think personality tests are accurate?

Not only personality but all kind of psychology tests are made for getting a basic information about a person.To get an accurate estimation more study should be done.

The accuracy of the tests depends on the honesty of the participant and his/her willingness to disclose, as well as on the types of tests used to assess personality characteristics. Some tests are not reliable for the questions asked, some are not valid, and all may be limited to certain populations, based on the characteristics of the population on whom the test was developed. Finally, the raw test data is only as good as the interpreter. Although computerized test interpretations are available, these never are as valid as the interpretations done by skilled examiners who use the tests as just one measure of personality. Typically, an interview and historical information are gathered along with test data to get the best picture of an individual's personality traits and characteristics.

I think the Myers Briggs is about 80-90 percent accurate. My best friend and I are both INFPs and very much alike. Everyone is an individual though, and no one can tell you exactly what you are like. You probably know yourself better than any personality test.

if you go to a fortune teller or something it most likely will as they talk to you and find things out, but if it is an online one or in a magazie, it wont be because for example if it is multiple choice, and what you think isn't there, well it can't get it right
