This is interesting. I've noticed a lot of my dreams have music in the background, just like in a movie. I've never heard any of the songs before and they seem pretty complex. Has anyone else heard of this before? I thought it was kind of neat :-)

I was 8 yrs old, visiting him at his house in Maine. He'd been coloring with me on the floor, & stretched out & fell asleep. For some reason I jumped in the middle of him. He came awake, grabbed his stomach & threw up. Later that day he couldn't get out of bed. I went in my room & played, never checked on him. I remember feeling unconcerned, like I didnt care about my own father. After a couple of hrs his girlfriend came over. She came in my room & scolded me for not "looking after him" or at least calling someone, with him being so sick. When he was throwing up blood she called an ambulance. But it was too late & he was gone by the next morning. He was only 28. Now I have learned he wasnt my real dad. My mom led him to believe I was his -- I had his dark Greek coloring. He was the sweetest daddy anyone could have, and I killed him by not caring enough to get help! My mom tells me to move on and get to know my "real" dad.
Please how do I wake up everyday and not feel this hurt?

I know that it's not fatal by itself, but what are some ways that it can lead to death? Other than suicide, of course.

My mother reports that she had a dream involving a female (I'll call her Alice) whom I quasi-dated briefly until we had a falling out. The first scene had my mother, Alice (whom I want to date again) and a mysterious blonde female at a picnic table in a park. The blonde was applying face cream while my mother and the object of my desire sat quietly. My mother remarked that Alice was wearing lipstick (which she rarely does) and looked sharp. My mother also noticed that Alice would occasionally look over at my mother. The scene then shifts to the inside of a car with the three of them in the backseat being driven by an unidentified driver. There is a young blonde boy sitting in the front passenger seat who turns to my mother and says: "Hey, would you take your tights off?" My mother, apparently wearing tights, said no. Alice and the blonde began to laugh.

Hopefully this mess of a dream somehow indicates that Alice and I will "reconcile". Wishful thinking I suppose...

The company says it's toys are "build for boyhood". Don't girls have a right to play with the toys too? Shouldn't it say something like "build for childhood"?

Sure there are women who drop rape charges, but that doesn't mean the rape never happened. It probably means she's afraid to face her attacker, or afraid to testify. How can one accurately estimate the number of women who file false rape charges? Would liars ever publicly admit they lied?

How prevalent is the actual problem? How many men's lives are actually ruined in this way? How do we know she lied? And who in their right mind would file a rape charge that is false? It 's one thing to accuse, or spread rumors, but to file a criminal charge is another (big) level up. It doesn't make sense to me that anyone would think that they could pull off convincing a jury of such a huge lie.

What percentage of rape charges are actually false? And how do your arrive at a reliable statistic on this?

What suggestions would you have for reducing gendered violence? In your current situation, what can you realistically and specifically do to help reduce gendered violence? You can answer this question by reflecting your focus (if any) on your efforts among friends or family, locally on your campus (if you are in school or at your work force), and/or within your community- nationally or internationally!

I dreamt that I was walking down a local street, where I often shop, and instead of cars along the curb, there were large, mahogony caskets lined up. They were all closed and I didn't see anyone in them. Just shiny, large caskets along the road. Any ideas what this could mean? It was rather vivid and there are a couple of members of my family who are sick. Could this be a bad omen?

It seems that the same type of crimes would land a man on death row dont seem to land a woman on death row such as killing a child, killing a police office, murder for hire, participating in a murder that involves a robbery and/or kidnapping.

Two years ago I escaped an emotionally and physically abusive marriage - divorced a year ago. Now he's trying to get custody of our children, so I'm back in court again. I was a stay-at-home mother - now I'm trying to start a career. Money is tight. Abusive X watches my every move. I struggle to rise above this, move on with things; I'm college educated, have/had many hobbies, talents, friends, interests, but every time I start to make progress, to get a plan in place, something outside of my control happens that knocks me down. Friends express amazement at my resiliance and how well I'm doing, considering, but I don't feel like I'm getting anywhere. The life I wanted for myself no longer seems an option (I'm 45). I've always made "sensible" life decisions for fear of failure if I tried to do what I really want. At the same time, the world seems full of possibilities that I have the talents to realize, but I feel lost on a treadmill to nowhere, haunted by fear and criticism. Ideas?

I'm a student in Vancouver. From sometime in October to late March, the weather can get downright depressing - overcast, continuous rain, snow, and not to mention the cold! It makes me unproductive and prevents me from looking forward to anything. My question is how can I stay happy in such a depressing city? I'm not used to it. I've lived in Dubai and California my whole 20 years.
