a LOT of the time when i'm dreaming, theres a teacher in it. one that i previously had. why? and a lot of the times they're "close" to me. like one was with my band teacher, and he grabbed my by my shirt (like how someone would do if they were gonna punch someone) but he didn't do anything, he just pulled me around by my shirt. then another one was my math teacher and she hugged me, but held onto me from the back. and i was weirded out in my dream. i remember my hands fumbling when she hugged me, then i said "ok....." in a weird manner.

so why do i always have dreams with teachers in them?

It scared the hell out of me, but you need the volume up to hear it, and look closely.

This happened to me once when I was like 6. I had alot of dreams that week, so I got a post-it, wrote "I'm dreaming", and put it on me. I fell asleep I was suddenly in this dream. I was in a room I've never been in before, with some kids playing and their parents on the couch. I looked at my shirt and the post it was there. I realized I was dreaming and it was so awesome!

People say that laziness causes life to pass you by. They also say that being stressed out takes years off your life. Which is worse?

I'm sure that moderation is the key here, but I'm curious to see what the Answers community thinks about the extremes.

If you think of life as a balance between these extremes, what would be a good balance? Is it better to err on the relaxed but unproductive side or on the high-strung but productive side?

Why is it that when a woman is raped, she has to die? It doesn't make any sense! Shouldn't it be the rapist that gets killed? I just don't see why women are treated like that.

1. Do you think the current distribution of income in the United States is too unequal? Why or why not? What criteria do you think should be used to judge the fairness of the distribution of income? Is the final outcome more important than the process that generates the income?

I have your attention!

Today I finally asked out my really cute, sweet chem partner that I've been working up the nerve to for quite some time. Her response was really...

"You? Go out with you?" (She says this coolly)
"Yes, me, who else?" (Something's wrong)
She looks me up and down.
"You are asking me out, ME? (Her tone is rising)
"Uh...yes. Is there a problem?" (By now I'm regreting this)
"This is unbelievable!" (Believe me people, this was not in a good tone)
"Did I do something...?" (Oh God)

She doesn't say anything for a minute, then she explodes!

"I can't believe this! I don't date guys like you, you-.....jocks, with your ****** up parties and *********, and just thinking you can do whatever the ****, and **** who ever you want! Girls like me don't date arrogant asses like you!
Just because I'm quiet and nerdy and don't get invites to all the parties doesn't mean that I'm gonna be pathetic enough to sleep with you, gosh!"

Um...I was thinking dinner and a movie or something

... Just wondering. I'm a bit of a perfectionist in certain areas of my life, and I find it something that's rather annoying, actually! I can't just do something well, I have to do it perfectly (to my standards, at least!). If I try to do something and mess up, even the slightest bit, I have *such* a hard time letting it go.
So... anyways... why are some people perfectionists? What causes perfectionism? How can I break myself of this and just learn to be accepting of good or even mediocre (just not perfect) work? Are there instances in which perfectionism is a good thing, and if so, what are they?

Thanks for your input. =)

There is a compuslive liar in my class, he lies about every single thing he talks about, and people belive him. I am one of the only ones in my class who knows he is lieing.
Def or compulsive liar:
A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (see, Pathological Liar), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship.
How do i deal with him? I tried ignoreing him but it drives me crazy when I hear lieing to everyone and them believeing it.

I was at the beach of a lake or something. It was really rocky and there were tons of people. I kept trying to swim under water and was a bit annoyed at trying to navigate around all the legs of folks. Then I had some type of disturbing moment over an ex of mine. I dun remember what it was really. Then Emeril Legassi, the guy from the cooking show was playing in the water. I hate Emeril's show but shook his hand and said somthing encouraging. He thanked me but called me by the wrong name. I was walking around the beach and noticed all the water drawing out to sea. I know what this means so I immediately started to climd a tall tree when the wave came back in. I heard a loud male voice say just hold on. Then all of a sudden I gret this picture of another man and his family in a tree in the dark in abot the same situation and awake... weird... kinda left me feelin a bit disturbed and a sense of loss or something...

I didn't really know to word the question, but anways, when people are being nice to you does it seem weird. I'm not used to people being nice to me. They usually were kidding around or wanted something when they were being nice. So when people are actually nice now, I don't know if it's true.

I love seeing how some people, some who are also my friends are never bored. Always interested in everything! But I seem to get bored easily when it comes with a subject I don't like...school and not in school. I know its normal, especially for teens like me, but I don't wanna be like that. I wanna be just like those people who are always fascinated, always eager to learn something new....how can I?

My friend's behaviour is so confusing? We can be doing something with another person and while that other person is around she will act all nice and kind, like that other person is a great friend of hers. Then when the other person leaves she says the worst things about her and that she hates her. How can my friend put on such a show around this person and then be so nasty about her once she is out of sight? Do my friend have a split personality or something?

Capitalism is an art form, an Apollonian fabrication to rival nature. It is hypocritical for feminists and intellectuals to enjoy the pleasures and conveniences of capitalism while sneering at it. Everyone born into capitalism has incurred a debt to it. Give Caesar his due.

It seems that Camille is proposing that feminism and capitalism cannot co-exist. Maybe she is suggesting that the elites in our society gain from the benefits of capitalism while denouncing it. What do you think?

So I'm on one of those bridge/balcony things, and I see my friend Drake. I call out his name, but he doesn't turn around, he just keeps on walking. I follow him. As he's going down the stairs, I catch up to him. I put my hand on his shoulder and say his name very loudly.
"Finally, Lil ... Finally, you're learning to control your dreams ... " Says Drake.
We continue walking, until something I see makes me stop dead in my tracks. I see an EXACT copy of myself. Same hair, same shoes, everything.
"She's not real," says Drake.
I try to touch her, but my hand goes right through her.
"YOU'RE NOT REAL !" I shout at her. She disappears.

I had OCD symptoms since young and abused Marijuana and LSD as a teen. This first appeared after a bad LSD experience when I freaked out after thinking I had fried my brain while coming down. I tripped after a severe emotional trauma. I am not even sure if drugs did it, though. I always feel a little anxious and depressed. Not severe though. I also feel like I am the only entity in the universe, like God, and everyone and everything is just part of my imagination, even the people I love. I am not sure if I am real or just some fragment of existence. It's like being in some Hell where you are stuck in a fishbowl and nothing else in the universe exists except you and your mind. I also am afraid of death as a pure nothingness. I just can't fathom it. My mind just feels like a kaliedescope of thoughts, colors and images without a spirit. Everything seems devoid of life. Like a cartoonish unreality.
As crazy as this sounds, I behave perfectly normal and think rationally.
