People say that laziness causes life to pass you by. They also say that being stressed out takes years off your life. Which is worse?

I'm sure that moderation is the key here, but I'm curious to see what the Answers community thinks about the extremes.

If you think of life as a balance between these extremes, what would be a good balance? Is it better to err on the relaxed but unproductive side or on the high-strung but productive side?

Of course moderation would be the key.But there is a prime difference.Laziness is something the individual controls.Stress however attacks an individual without one being able to control it.And in some instances, stress is good for you.It can stimulate the lazy, and galvanise action.Stress the way I get it, is worry stress, and sometimes I have to really concentrate to rid myself of the condition. I do this through Creative Visualisation, and Meditation. It is a great healer to be sometimes completely indolent. My choice at my age(72) is to only do what I can do, and to keep myself active physically and mentally.

Yeah, it's definitely a happy medium between the two. There are days I am off work and just want to sit around but at the end of the day I usually have a headache and don't feel like doing anything. Then again there are stress-full days at work that I wish I was at home on the couch. It's a combination of both stress and relaxation....... Xanex helps too! Just kiddin'

ok, an answerer suggested they take them from the wild, stick them in a tiny cage and rigidity them to reproduce, and then take there toddlers. i'm sorry, yet that may no longer the way it occurs...Do you think of the poachers have time to await something like a sloth to reproduce? they might probable in simple terms take the infant from the sloth, in the different case kill the sloth and take the infant, that sounds terrible yet it fairly is the way it fairly is finished with maximum animals that are bought from the 'black industry'. do no longer help the black industry, there are a number of captive bred sloths or ones a minimum of obtained legally (legally imported 2-toed sloths). Plus, any of the 'dwarf' (pygmy), maned, or 3-toed sloths, won't manage to be saved alive in captivity. they have a tendency to die in decrease than a three hundred and sixty 5 days. Plus, i do no longer think of you are able to import maximum, if no longer all of them. in case you do no longer understand thoroughly approximately there weight loss plan, do no longer evaluate it, they have a comfortable intestine, and would desire to and might die if fed the incorrect issues. in case you probably did no longer comprehend any of this, you will desire to no longer evaluate what you're thinking. no longer attempting to be an ***, yet on occasion issues would desire to be suggested ^_^

Man, that is the question of my lifetime. I am betting that the lazy side dies sooner because I am stressed to the limit even when I do it to myself (like today). All anyone can do is follow their natural inclination in the end.

I think that it depends on the person.

for instance, i personally enjoy running around doing all these extra activities and being constantly on the go. if i'm not busy, i'm not happy. anyone else feel like that?

others just like to be able to have time to themselves and live more flexible lives.

whatever the answer is, i definitely agree- a balance is crucial to live a long fulfilling life. =)
