There is a compuslive liar in my class, he lies about every single thing he talks about, and people belive him. I am one of the only ones in my class who knows he is lieing.
Def or compulsive liar:
A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (see, Pathological Liar), rather they simply lie out of habit - an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship.
How do i deal with him? I tried ignoreing him but it drives me crazy when I hear lieing to everyone and them believeing it.

well, I hate them too. My x boyfriend was a compulsive lier, and after I figured it all out, I kicked his *** out. the worst part was his family knew and did nothing.
ANyways, when your listening, have a comback comment ready:something like ,well,I see you telling your stories again, and confront him in front of others.
dont back down or be bullied by him. stand up and let him know if front of everyone that he's a lier and you know it..
have prrof ready so that you can prove to others for a fact that you know hes lieing
tell him exactly how you feel, and that its realy disturbing to you to hear him constantly lieing.
this will show him up and maybe get others thinking, and then once you prove that he is full of ****,,others will be quick to follow in suit and befriend him, and then maybe he will seel the help he needs

It depend on how outrageous and transparent the lie is. The really ridiculous ones you can pretend to accept and even exaggerate in response so that the liar begins to realize the extent of your sarcasm. More serious lies need to be ignored, but the very serious ones have to be challenged, hopefully is a not too intensive way.

You can only try talking to him, and telling him you know he is lieing, and ask him why?
He may get all defensive, or deny that he's said anything that isn't completely true, but at least he'd know he wasn't fooling you!
You could even try befriending him, and maybe if he had a true friend, he might stop telling lies, and might even open up to you!
You could discover that his family life is not as good as yours, and that gives him a need to lie, to everyone at school, and to himself also!
I hope this helps!

Lie back, about something you know this person will catch on to as a blatant disegard for the truth. Do it a few times and wink...fidget, and act as they do when they lie...maybe you will shed some light on the problem for the liar. Example: Tell them you never mispell words on Yahoo Answers! (I know, you were hyper typing trying to make a point. )

Can you have a few stock comments ready like. . . . You're telling stories again today?
Oh boy there you go again.

You have a very good imagination!
You should be a fiction writer. Wow!

My sister had a run in with a compulsive liar , and didn't believe him , IN FACT , but made believe she believed him ,,,and ran with it ,, adding to the already wopping whopper he was weaving , to creat a supper whopper ,that was rediculous , but she laughed and giggled as she weaved , and blew his whopper into a joke . but you could just play along .

There is no way and the sooner you realize that, the sooner it will stop bothering you. Evidently, you don't believe he can't stop, but he cannot. He needs serious help and you don't need to worry about it.

if you want him to suffer. you should leave him/her because they will definately fall someday and when they do it'll get them the most then. hard to understand my wording so, if you let them fall naturally (without you confronting them) they will fall harder because they will be caught out big time but if you confront them they will only fall slightly. hopefully you get what i mean
