My friend's behaviour is so confusing? We can be doing something with another person and while that other person is around she will act all nice and kind, like that other person is a great friend of hers. Then when the other person leaves she says the worst things about her and that she hates her. How can my friend put on such a show around this person and then be so nasty about her once she is out of sight? Do my friend have a split personality or something?

she is a snake in the grass. and you know whos paying for it? the one shes talking about and lying about to other people. Someone should get a brain and disassociate with her and not the other one shes is spreading lies about. Split personality? no. Conniving manipulative liar? Yes.

I would also like to add it has nothing to do with speaking to one person at a time. Someone can speak to people one on one and still be a good person and not go spreading stuff about other people behind their backs...

This one youre speaking of is talking to all of you and spreading lies behind your backs. I bet she talks about everyone.

She has a problem called jealousy.
She is unable to socialise with more than 1 person at a time.
More than likely she is spoilled,a single child in the family.
You need to stand up to any negative talk she has and show her this is not acceptable to you. If she values you as a friend she will think about what you are trying to do to help her.

No, it's not a split personality. It's just manipulative and deceitful.

And remember, if she's likely to do that to someone else, she may be doing the same thing behind your back with someone else.

I would not consider her a friend. She's dishonest.

Wow that's sounds bad. If that is the case I would consider if she might be saying anything about you behind your back? I wouldn't keep that friend very close or I would watch out what you say to her she might tell other people.
