I'm a work-a-holic (I'm addicted to workahol)... seriously, whenever I take time off of work I just feel guilty and non-productive. How can I get over that and enjoy a nice vacation!?

Tell yourself that its important to have a well-balanced life in order to be fully productive at anything. Work will always be there; family and relationships won't.

When all is said and done, what do you want on your tombstone, 'He was a hard worker' or 'he will be sadly missed by his loving family?'

Eventually you will pay for this with no personal life and feeling exhausted and wondering what happened? Go talk with someone. It would be worth working on developing some outside interests. Some people travel and learn about where they are at and others just take it easy. Some do something in between. Not all vacations are the same.

You can tell yourself that it is great to have the health and wealth to enjoy a good vacation. Nobody knows what is around the corner and the choice might not always be so readily available to you. Life is short. I will always be happy that I took time out to travel as it gave me some of the best experiences I've had. A balanced life creates a more enriching one.

Give me a week of your vacation, and I would be happy to show you exactly how.
