My first love was just killed 2 weeks ago, and last night i had a dream that was pretty much a reinactment of when we had our first kiss. the place it was at and everything. except there was a few things that were different as to what happened. so i dont know if that means it was just a normal dream, or if he was trying to tell me something?

With the cost of everything from eggs to heating fuel sky rocketing and the greed of the big bussiness bosses it appears even to most financial experts we are running headlong into a recessionary period. What next third world classification for most of the american public?

I mean, it seems to me that everytime the stock market has a bad month or a couple, the Fed has to jump in with the promise of a rate cut--and everything goes back to the way it was:

Stocks go higher and every trader is happy.

Is this the answer to dealing with an obviously weak economy and a weak dollar--coupled with a housing meltdown and high oil prices?

More rate cuts? We all know what happened when Greenspan kept rates artificially low for several years: A housing bubble that burst.

(And please don't tell me that the economy is "strong". We all know that it isn't. We've been riding a high of credit debt and mass overspending by consumers to keep ends met for years now, along with higher energy prices, stagnant wages, and higher costs in healthcare and living. Those of you who believes otherwise--clearly haven't been keeping up on the latest news.)

we got drunk that night. then when we went to bed i had a dream that i was drawing some bird symbol. thats all that i remembered about the dream, the bird symbol. it was stuck in my head all day, because it was so wierd. usually when i remember my dreams i remember much more than just one image. i got home and i drew the symbol as i had seen it in the dream. later on that night i was still curious, so i surfed the web for bird symbols. and believe it or not i found a native american symbol that looked almost exactly like what i drew in the dream. some minor differences but for the most part it looked identical. i was shocked. it is on this website if you care to look.

could it mean anything?

I have seriously been considering suicide and have attempted it a few times, but I can never seem to summon the power to kill myself. How do people gather all that negative energy to actually go through with it?

Some people think that we are nothing but atoms living in somthing much bigger than us. Other people think that we were created from big bang. Others think that there is an ultimate being, and others think of the string theory that man and matter was created from energy and emotions are nothing but chemical reactions. What is YOUR theory to life?

I was in the mental hospital & when I asked the nurse for assistance with something, she said, "Sounds like you have OCD! You're demanding." But I asked politely for help & she acted like she was too busy to help. I asked, "May you please..." I don't remember what I asked. but it was asked in the "May you please" format in a normal tone of voice.

Even though the times are changing many still assume that the woman does not have to work and gets to stay home and take care of the kids. And then when the two get divorced she has no skills to maintain a job and hubby must support her with spousal support. On top of that she gets the kids because she is established as primary care giver and therefore she gets more money.
So is it not the best thing for the woman to have a job just in case she needs to support her self later?

we were in the house and there were a bunch of people I've never seen in actual life; a girl (about 20), a boy (I guess the girl's brother, also in the 20s), an old man (probably their father, in his 60s/70s), and little girl who's just started to walk...anyway, they came to ask my dad about a university or something, and when they left, they gave us a bag full of the little girl's stuffed animals and toys

what do the people symbolize???

At first he was asked by the psychiatrist to take one tablet of prozac once in a day. but he did not takes it. he is being really paranoid, tension, taking shower for more than one hour, washing his foot very often, always changing his course in the university and starts shaking his head (looks like it was unconscious) after he checked something and mumbling to himself. so i went and see the psychiatrist for him that day and he was asked to increase the pill to 3 tablets a day. does Prozac really works on him? what can i do to help him better?

A poster just asked if women understood how men feel about sex.

So do you know how women feel about sex? Some men on this forum suggest, in part, that women consider sex as a bargaining tool to get what they want out of the man, or that some women don’t enjoy sex and are mostly just consenting to having sex with you, while others suggest that feminists are all man-haters.

Guys, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Women dig it just as much, if not more, as the man does.

Please give us your opinions. I’d like to know how YOU think we feel about sex.

My friend said teens have less self control and that's why they go all over the place having sex but I think adults have less self control. I think if an adult couple doesn't have sex for like a week.......... sometimes days, they have a heart attack. And if they go without it for a month they look for it for other sources but a teen can survive.

WE ARE NOT INCLUDING VIRGINS cause we already know sex is an addiction. It's already bad as a virgin but once you start, you instantly die in grief when you don't have it.

Who do you agree with?

This seems to be related to organizational architecture. I was wondering if tipping large parties would somehow discourage free rider problems.....not sure. I guess it makes sense that the restaurant owner would have the decision right to create such a policy.

I love yoga and belly dancing and recently I took part in a belly dance production based around the the 'Decent of Inanna to the Underworld.' The production involed dance and poetry. I danced Ereshkigal the Queen of death and the Underworld. (Type cast again!)
A feminist friend castigated me for appearing. She saw the show and said I was letting the side down...quote 'you were literally bending over backwards to please men.' I pointed out that the audience was mainly female and I was hardly a sex object. The makeup even scared me me when I saw myself in the mirror. I looked like a dancing corpse with a sai in each hand. I'm still a Feminist and a belly dancer and will continue to be so but I was interested in other peoples take on it.
I wonder if the anti-feminist will rise to my defence...I doubt it but I'll be watching.

When I was in elementary school, I knew this boy named David. I liked him SO MUCH. He started out as just a friend, and after a couple of years, I started liking him, probably to the point of being in love...

But then he moved to Germany a few years later. I cried for weeks. I had dreams about him every night for months, without fail.

I still have dreams about him occasionally, maybe once or twice a year. The other night I had a dream that he called me. I was so happy to hear from him! I mean, it was the best dream I had in a while...

But why am I STILL thinking about him, four years after he moved? I have a boyfriend that I love very very much, so why does it still hurt to think about David? I mean, I almost cry every time! Why?

I called my boyfriend today, and he said that last night he had two nightmares about me. In the first one, I called him and said that I'd been raped, and he came to my house and he thought I was dead. In the second, a guy I used to like came and took me away, and all he could do was stand and watch...

These dreams depress me, even. What do you think the reason for these dreams is? And how can he stop having them? Thank you! =]

Why do most people in this world have poor judgment?
Why are most people in this world prejudiced ?

Can we stop being judgmental, can we take a moment to think and VERIFY things carefully before jumping into conclusions?
