okay, i had a very clear dream... and i've been thinking for the past 4 days, and I need some answers!!!

okay, say timetraveling was possible... and you go back intime to kill your grandfather before having your father! and you actually do kill him, what happens next?? Cause if you kill your grandfather, you're father would never be born, which also means you would be born. so0 if you were never born who was it that killed your grandfather? it didnt happen... but it did happen!!

i used to cut myslef alot when i was in highschool because i got bullied and didnt have very good friends. i did it because the pain you get from cutting has a calming effect and causes you to forget everything elce in the world. also i did it to stop me hurting other people as i often have urges to be very violent so i would hurt myslef instead of others. i managed to stop self harming as times got better. however last night two of my friends, my only friends, upset me to quite an extent and i didnt no what to do to get rid of the inside pain so i cut myself with a knife and ive woken up this morning with alot of blood on my clothes and ugly marks or my arm and thigh. i feel that i have to cut myslef otherwise i will end up doing something even more stupid as i often get very suisidal. i dont want to keep cutting so does anyone no another effective way of reliving inside pain, that doesnt include hurting myslelf or others

I would someone to explain to me why the price of gasoline has gone down this summer instead of up due to the summer driving season, as in past years. I do know from asking that people aren't driving less because of the price; just sucking it up. If it's supply and demand, it should be up near the record price I saw pre-summer $3.50ish (Northern California). Call me a cynic, but I 've seen this pattern before. They [oil companies] give some tenuous excuse about refining capacity, maintenance, etc., allow the price to max out and when people start complaining, they back it off and wait for people to get use to the higher price range. I know the price of crude is mostly out their control since we import so much.

Someone please enlight me. I would like to think that free market forces are at work here. I know the price of crude is mostly out their control since we import so much.

I never leave the house without shoes. I hate barefeet and I'm constantly wearing socks. All my life I've had dreams that I leave the house, go to work/school/mall/friends house without my shoes, and I go crazy. One dream I spent what felt like hours hiding in the bathroom because I forgot my shoes and I thought the teacher would yell at me [this dream was in my elementary school years] and I just had a dream last night that I was heading to work to find I'd forgotten my shoes again. In real life, when I'm out I always triple check to make sure I haven't forgotten my shoes. What is the meaning of this? I've tried dream interpretation sites, dream meanings, but nothing of missing shoes. The scenarios are different in each dream, there's no consistency except for the fact that I am either embarressed, angry, upset, etc. all over the fact that I am not wearing shoes. Help :]

I dreamt I was talking to a strange man, I thought he was a bit cold and aloof, then I noticed he has real light blue eyes, but his pupils were square. This shocked me, and suddenly i didn't hear what he was saying anymore. I looked in the mirror at my own eyes, the longer I looked the larger my pupil became, till the green in my eyes had disappeared and I could only see the black pupil. Then my whole eye began to increase, (like a BettyBoo cartoon), so I looked away, because I was scared.
Then i was in a field with some horses. They all looked the same except for one scruffy looking sweaty sad one, but I knew he only needed a bit of care and attention and he'd be magnificant, so I said I'd take him. As soon as I said this the horse looked regal before I even touched him and almost changed before me into the most beautiful looking animal I had ever seen!
Any ideas!!

but the bad part is that people said she looks a little like me, though i am a pretty girl, but she was damn ugly. Why would one brag to someone who has accomplished more or is on a higher level on a particular topic? What's the psychology behind this? Is it meant to spawn a sense of competition, or to impress? Are they overly comfortable with the other person? Is it due to stupidity on the part of the braggart, because common sense should tell you that bragging usually doesn't endear one to others.

mended, would it be ok to leave and make a life of your own. i mean why stay where people dont respect you as an individual. No matter how hard i try to control my anger (which is very hard for me), they are always trying to make me loose it. And when i am angry my whole mind just becomes out of control. It is really hard for me to keep myself in control. I have to try very hard for it. What would you say about this situation?

im always repeating what i have done for ex.
i open the televsion i knew that i press the button but i forgot that i push it , but deep in my mind i know that i push it, but i cant remember..
and then theres something deep inside of me thats telling me to repeat it... but if i didn't do it i feel that something is not right, its not normal, something is wrong.. and i feel weired..
then i turn the tv off.. and then i turn it on..and i make sure i remember that i turn it on.. if i forgot it.. i have to do it again..

and when i hear weired noises, i get scared...

if so do you also have very irrational thoughts, often times paranoid?

i do, and the thing is, is that even though i know that the weird thought isnt possible and is irrational i still get freaked out by it. and the worst part of it, is that i get afraid that i atualy BELEIVE the thought which makes me feel like im going crazy.

anybody else like this?


i coud get any random thought. like "what if my dog isnt my dog and somehow got switched somehow someway"

There is more emphasis placed on women to act "lady-like" than there is on men to act proper. For example, and don't deny it, but when a man shares a dirty joke, burps loudly and goes unshaven throughout the day, people generally dismiss these things. Imagine a woman who hasn't brushed her hair, farts loudly and laughs about it, and wears baggy clothes -- which image stands out the most to you? I'm sure it's the one of the woman.

So what is the purpose of being proper in regards to women? Men seem to be able to act however they like. What effect does it have on a man's testicles when a woman maintains properly groomed cuticles and pretends like her gender disables her farting and burping capabilities? Because I mean, we all know that women don't poop. A magical bowel fairy descends from the clouds, and with a wave from her sparkly, little wand, the poop is all gone! :)

If I'm generalizing too much then just ignore the question, but for the most part men communicate directly and women don't. Women expect you to guess what they feel, need, want, etc.. without saying it.

Now, this is supposed to me because of brain differences, but is it really? How hard is it to just SAY what you want?

Like if a woman is with her Bf or husband and she sees a necklace she wants, she will not say: "honey, I want you to buy me that necklace"... she will think that in her head but instead she will say: "I really like that necklace".

So ladies, especially feminists, why not just be direct? And if you choose to be indirect, why do you get angry at the man if he doesn't "read your mind"?

Why don't women say what they feel and what they want instead of just expecting people to know? What is the advantege to indirect communication?

Ok, Yesterday morning she came to me and burst into tears. She said she was being chased by the devil. What the.. I, myself was surprised that she'd even dream such a thing. A woman has a right to choose, but I wondered if you all think it's wrong if a woman in a stable relationship gets pregnant and decides to have an abortion but doesn't tell her boyfriend/husband.

The reason I ask is because one of my relatives actually got pregnant about five months into her relationship with her boyfriend and had an abortion but never told him. They later got married and had more kids and to this day he has no idea.
