Do not use calories. Use serving. If its a question of rationing when you pick up a bag of rice it says how many servings it can provide. Not all will eat the same so what you do is you take away 20 percent of the serving total. Example if a bag of rice can feed 10 people so actually you could serve 12. No if its a matter of what kind of foods your trying to serve, think about the activities and make senseless decisions. STRONG IN THE MORNING, MEDIUM AT MID DAY, LIGHT DINNER.

Start with the basic calorie requirement of 2000 to 3000 calories a day per person depending on the level of physical activity planed and ages. Include a variety of foods from the major food groups to assure proper nutrition.
