Yesterday I have a horrifying dream.
In my dream, I was walking toward a natural pool. I saw a man sitting on a rock by that pool. I can only see his back.
After I noticed him, i walked away. Later, I walked back to the pool. and OMG he was in the water. He was dead. What I saw is a rotten corpse floating in the water. His head almost separated from the body. (what I mean is, his head is linked with his body by only a tiny neck tissue.). So, I was so scared and I turned around immediaterly, trying to find my mum(I dont know why). But I can barely walk at that moment. I feel like there is tons of glue in my body, and I have to lift my legs to walk and my legs are so heavy. I walked as slow as a snail. And I was so terrified that I woke up!!

What does this mean to u?

LOL I know this sounds like a joke question, but I am actually serious, do you think it is possible that an ageist(?) movement could happen?

Similarities to original women's lib:

Right to vote, own property, choice in educational matters, heatlh care decisions, societal belief that the young(women) are inferior to the old(men) with respect to intelligence, and even physicality depending on the age of the child.

Women fought for equal rights to men for the above reasons, could children fight for equal rights to adults?

Your thoughts.....?

I posted the last question and a lot of the answers talked about choice, and i wondered, what about when "choices" are limited, like in say, child rearing.

Whether you are a parent, not yet a parent, or never wish to be a parent, do you think children should be raised to understand their gender differences? Or should children be raised androgynously?

and smell, taste, hear? I can never remember being able to smell taste and feel. And maybe even hear now that I think of it? People who dream lucidly (know you're in your dreams) or just remember well or are an expert at dreams, can you feel in dreams?

Can you tell me? One day we were driving comming home from eating pizza, We stop at a stop sign, i could hear my mom telling my dad, does your brother drink to much beer? so i think nothing of it, and we move on.
Now, about two weeks later, we are driving home, just after eating some pizza, we stop at the same stop sign as before, and i could hear my mom start to say, do you think your brother drinks to much beer? it hit me this is dejavu, how crazy!!! Did our own minds set all three of us up in a trick!!? same situation, same blue car, same place, same time, same seats we were in before. same phrase. I felt weird and excided, pumping with adrenalin, as i sat there just watching the same situation go by. What is this!!? What is Dejavu!!? and how does are mind trick us into this. its almost as if were not living life at that moment, just watching as our mind is playing a trick on us.

I'm sort of a sensitive person, but sometimes I fear that people see that as a weakness. I don't know why, but recently I was looking up negative criticism for this type of personality because I thought it would give another opinion that I could consider. However, the more that I've been looking it up, the worse I've been feeling about myself. Whenever I go to read a book, or write something, I feel this is my sensitive side, and then I connect it to the hatred that some people show to this, and then I don't want to be who I am anymore. I'm confused right now, and I'm wondering if someone can help me get this negative critique out of my head. I thought looking up negative criticism would make me see that it's not that bad and I would get over it, but it just made it worse.

I am the manager of 5 tellers at a bank and we have had quite a few issues with the lack of motivation, team work, and lack of attention to customers.

These are great people, but the teller line seems to be very tense, and lack of teamwork is a huge issue.

Any ideas to make sure that these workers become more compatible, get motivated to actually enjoy their job, take customers promptly, etc?

I feel like life is going so fast. It won't slow down. I'm happy but i'm getting more depressed b/c of the thought of death. And being old and not being able to do much.

I just want to live with no fear of that. Everyone has a fear, but I'm only 15!!! Why do I feel like this! I think about death and growing up and everyone I love dying too. It's something I think about all the time and everyday. You have no idea. I want to think of something else. Something a teen can think about. So I don't have to feel like this. I feel 80!

I even thought of suicide to end the pain of growing up and losing the ones I love. The thought of all of it is to hard. I don't want to commit suicide. I'm not a fan of giving up.

Graduation. Getting 18 and getting out of my house, my childhood home. Dealing with my loved ones deaths. Turning 40. Getting older than that and being to old to be, to be a kid again and have fun.

Alzhiemers. That could be my biggest fear.

I have gone through a lot of emotional trauma in my life, as I grew up amongst abusive people who treated me differently and rejected me when I would stand up for myself. I want to move on with my life and forget that chapter of my life, but when my mind goes idle, or I'm working on some menial task, playing a handheld game or putting together a puzzle or any other brainy exercise, somehow all of those memories do come flowing through my mind to the point that I'm starting to associate the task with a certain unpleasant memory.

Does this happen to other people, if so what have others done to push such memories away?

It seems like we're forced to choose one or the other, which upsets me because I want both. I adore science and have always dreamed of being a scientist/professor, but I've also always dreamed of being a mommy. Why are women forced into the dilemma of not getting to fulfill their career dreams or not getting to have children, when men get to have both all the time? Don't get me wrong, I love men, but it just is an unfair burden to have to abandon one of my dreams.

I am no aware of any research which rules genetic ways of relating to one another. What if disorganised attachment styles for example are the result of genetic transference rather than attachment interactions?...

the only way to rule this out is to check twin studies or to switch babies in the strange situation test and to allow them to grow up with different genetic mothers. obviously this type of test is unethical. know what i mean? what do you think??

(Lucid dreaming is when you're in a dream but you know you're dreaming and you control what you do).

I've looked it up and I've even seen a TV special on it but I can't seem to figure it out. I also bought The Little Black Book of Dreams, from Barnes & Noble and it kind of helps and has a bunch of interesting facts.

But I was wondering if anyone has something that has really worked for them? What helps you remember a dream, and how do you dream lucidly?

Also, does anyone know if there are any negative effects to trying to remember dreams or dream lucidly? (That might sound silly, but tell me anything you know, please).
