Like a lot of people I work full time but the strange thing is I am only motivated at work or when thinking about going to work. When Im at home I find it difficult to study and work towards my real goals which are to be a high paid networking engineer of which I have been working in the feild for 10 years.

Im single 31 and do in fact enjoy It generally, I find by about Sunday im ready to get started on things but then its like 10pm and Monday work is hours away, Ive thought about getting up at 4am each day to work on my certificates but that never happens and these days Im feeling more tired with more work load.

because if you are working for someone else they are telling you what to do, if you are working for your self you have to keep your self motivated, you have no one on your butt saying do this do that, finish this by this time line. you have to manage your time and push yourself, and some people find that really hard to do.

Is it possible to work at your own pace at an internet course? I know what you mean, only I have two jobs so to speak. I am so bushed by the end of the week, about the only thing I feel like doing is answering Yahoo questions, which is interestingly just like work, except that I do not have much expectation anyone will do what I suggest. Come to think of it, that is like my full-time job! Good luck! Work on that motivation! I know you can do it!

It s easier cause doesn t have to take risks. To be master implies too much burden . Too many responsabilities on one´s shoulders only. You have to do all the work Think, be creative and make decisions all the time.
One has to be born with the predisposition to be a manager.
But there is the option of trying if having the abilities. specially if nobody dependes on you.

There is less effort needed on so many levels to work for someone else versus starting your own company. Everything is taken care of, all you need to do is show up. The major headaches are not yours. Also there is a lot less risk required. You have to have a bit of the risk-taker in you to go off on your own venture because you may fall flat on your face.

Yo lack motivation that is why you work for someone rather then be motivated to work for yourself. You know you need someone to push you.
When at home set up where your going to do your studying and set your mind to it before you go there. Say to yourself I am going to spend 2 hours working on my studies, turn the TV off and the radio set yourself up for no distraction.
