I am looking for economics books written by famous economists which are controversial. I am preparing myself to an interview for Economics degree at university and I want to have some matters to discuss with my interviewer. I heard Affluent Society by Galbraith may be one of these as well as books by von Mises. Any other suggestions?

Is it true that most guys would rape a girl if they knew they would get away with it, and there was no way they would be caught?
Please, give me your thoughts on the above statement... I'm seeking data to help with my sociology paper. Thank you :)

surface, your eyes are shut, you hear some disturbing, unfamiliar, unidentified, noises around you, that instill fear into the heart of you. you dont no where you are, your aware that youve passed over from earth, but its unknown to you where you are. as you hear these unfamilar, strange, unidentifiable noises around you, and as you feel yourself lay down on some type of cold, unknown surface...
would you open your eyes to see where you were? or would you be to scared to?

When the economy falls in a stagflation, the expansionary policies can help to reduce the unemployment rate. However, it will push the inflation even higher. Conversely, the contractionary policies can help to reduce the inflation rate due to the aggregate demand decreases. It however will drive the unemployment rate even further. How???????

I posted this question today and it was wildly misunderstood, and after learning how to add to my story so that it would clear up the misperceptions, I then decided to delete the story so that I could start again. Please comment after reading the whole story with additions:

I am 34, and quite a deadpan realist in most areas of life - I am super responsible, have been successfully self employed for years, work really very hard, am entrepeneurial in several different businesses (which requires a good dose of realism, and knowledge of how life works etc), pay my taxes on time, blah blah

I am blessed with enough charisma and charm to be popular at parties, am a v.good sportsman, have enough life experience to talk about anything to anyone, have travelled the world, and etc, and I have no problems attracting ladies. However, I am a deep romantic at heart - or one may call it sentimental.
