surface, your eyes are shut, you hear some disturbing, unfamiliar, unidentified, noises around you, that instill fear into the heart of you. you dont no where you are, your aware that youve passed over from earth, but its unknown to you where you are. as you hear these unfamilar, strange, unidentifiable noises around you, and as you feel yourself lay down on some type of cold, unknown surface...
would you open your eyes to see where you were? or would you be to scared to?

In my mind if this happens you were not die. Your body can reach a state were all functions stop and for a moment or two you a gone but soon come back. A child of a friend had seizures, I have sit with the boy checking his heart beats for during the seizure his heart stops. If this happened I would have to start CPR. I always wanted to know if he went somewhere but I can not get a answer for the child is retarded. For me death is a step from this room to another, a heaven or hell. You want to know what it feels like to lay on one of those table, I have been there and as you say it is cold but no fear.

I will open my eyes just a little to check on my surroundings to see if these people are hostile or friendly. And go back pretending to be dead if sense some sort of harm.

When you die, you do just that...your soul is perished,. and you begin the periliess sleep of the dead..the dead know nothing...you would not have feelings, your soul, that dwelt in your physical body, is now voided out...we lay asleep and do not know anything, until we are called back on judgement day...and thank goodness for that peace of mind, that the Bible tells us

Well you couldn't lay there forever with your eyes closed so yes I would open my eyes.

well "psh," im dead. if i opened my eyes id almost be certain to see black or some amorphous wavelengths of monotone colors. i wouldnt expect to see much, anyway. so yes, id open my eyes. why be scared when youre already dead?
