Hi,
I think you should try to clear your mind before you continue writing your paper. Go have a walk outside, get some fresh air and focus on something else then this paper. When you feel calmer go back to the paper and look at it again.

Good luck.

When your working on something for too long, you end up overwhelming yourself. If you ever feel like that, I would just take a little rest on the couch, or take a long stroll outside, or even just watch some tv and crack open a soda. You should always stretch or more preferrably, take a break when your working on something for a while. Otherwise, you'll become very tired and end up like how you were before; stressed, tired, etc. Hope this helps!

Take a break. Maybe you need some sleep. late write down some ideas, then pick one and write down how would you show it. If you break an enormous task into smaller steps it begins to look less overwhelming.
