What are dreams? How do they effect to our lives? If you have a dream about doing something, like for example, winning the lottery, will it happen in true life?

What are dreams?

As I understand it, feminism means fighting for equal rights for women, nothing more. But many people in the US put into this word a completely different meaning: They think that feminism means female masculinity, hatred for men and so on.

This causes some confusion. These two meaning need to be separated from each other.

Only an idiot would object to full equality for women. Only an idiot would want to deprive his own mother, sister, daughter, etc. of basic human rights and equality. Right? If so, why don't we coin a separate word for women who are fighting for equality?

And the word "feminism" we can continue using to describe hatred of men, etc.?

I have been recently diagnosed with Bipolar II. Which is less severe then Bipolar I which is known as Bipolar. My dream has been to get a minor in Social Work and a major in Psychology. With the hopes that I may be a Clinical Psychologist for a Probation Office or some where sililiar. I fear now that this diagnoses may keep me from being able to do this. Has anyone ever heard of someone with Bipolar having a successful career in Psychology?

I'm guessing it's...I do it a lot...any advice?
Even though I'm a straight A student, it never seems like enough...I tend to go for 95% or up. If I don't reach that, then I feel so worthless (I label myself for being dumb, even though I accpet everyone around me is better even if they do drugs and fail art.class-is that possible?)...what should I do?

Sometimes I find it difficult to forgive myself even for a tiny mistake. I insist on thinking about it over and over again. Why is it so hard for me to accept that I'm not perfect?

Seems that the movement is losing steam. I suggest we re-group and start a war that will re-write the distorted "history" to the more appropriate "herstory." Along our path to victory, we will take inspiration from daily readings of the works of Sappho and enjoy daily softball tournaments complete with trophies and a keg of beer to tap.

Sounds inticing, sisters?

How would not being able to relate to someone affect your ability to judge, understand, have common ground, and accept them for who they are?

I'm a black Teacher and I've been very, very nice to the other Teachers--mostly white women. I've volunteered to help them on projects and always greet them with a smile. But I recently found out that many of those white women were going behind my back and reporting every mistake I made-- and even lied to the Principal about me--which landed me in trouble (all the white these same women made 100 times more mistakes than me).

Its shocking because these same women smiled in my face and pretended to be my friend --but were stabbing me in the back !! They give off this nice image to the world--but they act like devils behind closed doors...

So, I just wonder: Is it a part of white culture to be very fake on the job--while stabbing people in the back? I think this is a common problem on many job sites.

Serious answers only. Thanks!!

I have white people in my family whom I love--so please dont think I dont like white people.

i've heard there was a time when we had a Matriarchal society but i don't know much about it. most women today are focused on the wrong things, vanity, beauty products, plastic surgery, i think this is to make women weak so they won't get involved in world issues and actually try to make a change. there's lots more to say. What do you think?

Even when I'm at school discusing a project with my instructor people think it's O.K. to butt in when it's not. I see this going on quite a bit. Have people lost their manners? How do I deal with this with out creating conflict?

Has anyone ever had a particular dream and dreamt it more than once and thought to urself, heck I feel as if I have seen that somewhere before.
Well, I kept getting this dream approx 6 times a year for the past 10 years or so, and when I woke up in the morning I said to myself, heck I feel as if I have seen that in true life, but for the love of God I couldnt remember where or if I did, but every time I had some quiet time, I would constantly think of that dream and keep thinking, I am sure I have seen it but it was like a war film scene. It wasnt till I went home to Scotland on holiday, and went to Saltcoats for the day, while sitting at the harbour and looking over to Arran my dream came back to me, there was the background, Arran and it was one war ship after another heading up the clyde making odd noises apart from norm think they were yanks, ships moved so slow they looked as if they were stopped. So I then remembered it as a little boy, funny it took a look at Arran to con't
