Never the entire world. Some areas maybe. I remember learning in school about this once. In ancient Greece there was a matriarchal society. They were called the Minoans. Men were unimportant except to fertilize the ground. Those men were the "kings". They were sacrificed and their blood was drank by the priestess and they sprinkled it on the ground to have a good harvest because they believed the earth was their true mother. They were allowed to have as many sexual partners they wanted and first daughter was important and inherited everything. They did not know men were needed for reproduction, so when a child was born, they assumed it was the air or the water.
The reaction was great from the guys. They were surprised, but not angry, that this happened. Most girls were amused, hell I laughed, this is something I don't hear much about. And this is real, not like the "Amazon" women some people think about. That's just a myth.

Women never ruled the world. What you heard was probably a ear wax problem....
But there is an old saying, When she's not home I'm the boss. You might adhere to that if you like.
"most women today are focused on the wrong things, vanity, beauty products, plastic surgery",
Personally I like those things.
You can take or leave the plastic surgery.
But these things make women look and smell good.
There's nothing like a good lookin, good smellin women.

My dear Baba Yaga. I am afraid you are wrong again. There is not one scintilla of evidence for a matriarchy in ancient Greece; unless you count that nonsense by Robert Graves. There are some matriarchal societies in the world; split along the usual lines, such as women in the political power structure and men in the military structure. Some South American indigenous peoples are like this. But, matriarchal societies of a " pure " kind are not very common in the present and the record does not support any such in the past. I can not speak to the future, though. I can consider the physiological, psychological and evolved make up of our species, thus saying matriarchies are not likely in our future either.

A time when Women ruled the world, hmm, I don't know. I do know however that it is time for some hardcore work to be done in todays society where WOMEN AND MEN can agree that Religion should not be a barrier in this day and age.

Also, to TKD540 and Jazzman9, you are the problem. You don't realize that you were born of a Woman? You wouldn't exist. Being a Feminist doesn't mean that you want to be BETTER then a Man, but equal to. Try doing some homework before you run your mouth. Thanks.

I heard that in the Amazon there is a tribe ruled by women. Also, I don't think women are just interested in the wrong things there are a lot of great women out there doing great things. I know there are a few countries I can't name them right now but that have women Presidents, ministers, representatives and etc. Also, in many countries it is the women who keeps the family afloat.

No true matriarchy has ever been found. In some aboriginal societies women have a lot of influence but top official leadership positions were always held by men.

Yep! Always!...She rules together with her man! I love the words of Tulla's mother in "My Big Fat Greek Wedding"... it goes something like.."Man may be the head of the household or family but it is Woman who is the neck and so controls which way the head should turn" ... Isnt it true? Women do rule the world... together with their men. ummm I love the POWER of the WOMAN! :)

When have they NOT???? Thank goodness so few women realize it, or we men would be even worse off than we are already....
As for what you consider the "wrong things," you are soooo mistaken; those things are a big part of what enable women to rule over men as much as they do!
