How would not being able to relate to someone affect your ability to judge, understand, have common ground, and accept them for who they are?

of course ... ?? ever heard the saying "not until you walk a mile in their shoes" ??

however ... you can have an opinion without judging someone

opinions often come from how we feel about a person. over time or from a "first impression", which is about us ... and often when/if you can relate to a person, you have personal experience with those feelings ... which comes back to how we feel about ourselves ... how deep down the rabbit hole do you wanna go?

Of course it can. But if you cannot relate to this person then you shouldnt be wasting your time and forget about opinions and judgement because youll just be scrambling your brains for no reason.

It all depends on the person. I don't think you needed to beable to relate to some one just to give your opinion on something but we do tend to be judgemental.

i accept people for who they are...a difference of opinion/understanding does not affect me...most people have not seen what i have...i cannot expect them to understand...ect...ect
