Analyze the sources of power that Caruso has available to her to influence the decorators. What advice can you give her to either increase her power base or use her existing power more effectively?

2. Given what you have learned in this chapter (for example, from the behavior model and path-goal theory), does Caruso seem to be performing appropriate leader behaviors in this situation? What advice can you give her about the kinds of behaviors she should perform?

3. What steps would you advise Caruso to take to increase the decorators' motivation to deliver high-quality customer service?

4. Would you advise Caruso to try to engage in transormational leadership in this siuation? If not, why not? If so, what steps would you advise her to take?

From time to time I get this nagging feeling that something unpleasant is about to happen. I usually decide what I think is going to happen, but am never right. Something unpleasant does happen, but it's always something out of left field! Any suggestions on how I can tap into this feeling and get a more accurate idea of what's about to happen? As they say, fore warned is fore armed!

I remember one time i was talking with someone about racism and racists people. then i looked at some ants and it hit me. How come i never see the black ants hang out with the brown ants? The red ants are usually agressive and i never see any of them co exists but only within there own races( or species) of ants. Why is this? I also heard from a teacher that they are racists towards each other and tend to have wars againts each other. Does this mean that racism is just a natural survival instinct to perserve ones species. But shouldnt humans have evolved out of this? This confuses me.

Suppose you decide to open a copy store. You rent store space (signing a one year lease), and you take out a loan at a local bank and use the money to purchase 10 copiers. Six months later a large chain opens a copy store two blocks away from yours. As a result, the revenue you receive from your copy store, while sufficient to cover the wages of your employees, and the costs of paper and utilities, doesn't cover all of your rent and the interest and repayment cots on the loan you took out to purchase the copiers. Should you continue operating your business?
