I am senstitive also - so instead of watching the news on TV, where the networks control what I see and hear and when, I READ the news - in newspapers and on the internet. I have access to as many , if not more sources this way, so I can thoroughly inform myself of ALL sides of a controversial topic, not just the particular slant of my most-watched network. If something I read hits a nerve, I can stop reading it, and come back to it later, when I feel more prepared to be exposed to the content.

It IS important to know what's going on in the world, but I don't have to take what the networks are spoon-feeding us.

No one HAS to watch the news.

Try reading the newspaper or looking at the news headlines online. It is good to be aware of what's going on in the world.

And stay away from FOX news. ;-)

There is something seriously wrong with our society, when we have people who arent interested in whats going on outside their homes. This is a dangerous way of thinking, because the outside world, can and will affect you one day and you wont see it coming.

Sure - if you want to forsake all of the feminism since women
got the right to vote.

Should you vote without knowing what's going on in the world?
