I lost what I typed before, so I'll paraphrase.

"I've been looking for a girl like you my whole life."---Considered polite, and sweet

"I don't like watching girls' basketball (WNBA)"--- Considered mildly to highly offensive.

"I've been married to my gal here for 40 years." --- A 70 year old man.

I think it may have to do with feelings of age, virility, and fertility.

Obviously I am aware that we cry when we are upset or really happy, but why do "emotional" tears (those whose function is not to just lubricate the eyes) form? Does this type serve any purpose??

Every individual sees (and indeed recalls) events very differently. There seems to be no objective reality that any one person can witness. Why is it that we each have such different perceptions of a single thing, or does reality not exist as we think?

I'm talking about proper vices as well - nothing lame like 'stop buying too many shoes'. I mean things like smoking, drinking, shagging around, drugs, farting in bed etc - proper rock 'n' roll vices.

What would you do if you woke up one morning and your life was totally different, instead of being married you were single, instead of living on your own, you were living with your gran? Would you cry or just get on with it?

I'll be turning 40 next week and have been feeling generally restless; anyone out there have any insight on what they would consider a mid-life crisis and how it came to manifest itself to the point that you noticed?

Every weekend without fail our neighbour gets his waders on and makes a thorough job of cleaning his car. This totally innocent routine annoys my husband to the point of insanity, he thinks this poor guy is a sad feak! It's getting to the point now when my husband is so obsessed that he's having little bets as to what time the car is going to be cleaned. It's driving me mad!

He's never fallen out with the neighbour and it's really not about the make of the car of anything. I can't understand it. If my husband is jealous then he has his own car to clean but he likes it to get really dirty because he thinks it will wind the neighbour up!

Help - there is nothing I can do but why do you think my husband is letting this obsess him so much?

My husband does have a life and runs his own business and goes out etc so it's not like he's sitting by the window all day.

I live where the west says people are very poor and are exploited by the west to keep them that way.

There sure are a lot of new cars around now. Many are expensive SUVs with all the extras. It is not just a few either. The traffic is getting really bad here.

Reason would dictate that beeing niicce with women would lead to success. However in my experience the opposite is the case. When beeing nice with some women I like instead of getting any they came crying to me when they had boys troubel, but not without telling me what he got and I didnt first. Its even worse in a relationship. When acting nice around her the behaviour ranges from irrational to slightly hostiel oh and again few or no sex. When I treat her like dirt however I get what I want when I want (not only in bed).
