Apart from my kids, I couldn't think of anything I am truly passionate about. This got me thinking - does everyone else have a passion? (excluding family etc)

I went to this girl's house to hang out and I asked her why dinner wasn't made and she got mad! After she made me dinner (which tasted awful) I told her to clean up the house because it was a dump!!!!! and she tried to kick me out! me! why don't women take control of the house anymore, lazy b**es

my mother always cooked and cleaned when I lived at home. Women of today are so lazy it makes me sick why?

Stop trying to be equal and start scrubbing those dishes!

The situation keeps bouncing back and forth between should the criminal system be punitive or should it be rehabilitative? The U.S. is no where near getting past that. No Way! It varies from state to state. My God! What a quagmire! The therapy I experienced at Atascadero State hospital, in California, seemed to be oriented toward being a whole person and not involved with abnormal psychology. I started to do my own psychoanalysis there and I was told by staff that I was spinning my wheels.
So there are two unresolved questions:
1. Should the system be punitive or rehabilitative?
2. Should abnormal psychology be brought into consideration?
We will continue to be between a rock and a hard place until the U.S settles on a direction. So will the victims.

i believe that the double standard when it comes to the genders and sexual promiscuity is justified. Why are men called studs and women aren't? If you want to understand the answer to this perform the following experiment. Get an attractive women to go out and talk to 5 unmarried (and uninvolved) guys for 2 minutes and then have her make a blunt request for sex. Now send an attractive guy out and have him talk to 5 unmarried women for two minutes and then make a blunt request for sex. We all know what will happen in each case. You see a man has to use skill and put in a lot of work that is why is considered a stud. All the women has to do is make herself available. Now if that ever changes then I will change my mind about all of this.

Recent news stories, and many others, of ordinary people risking their lives to save a perfect stranger made me think what kind of person could do this? What qualities do you think it takes to do this? Could you save the life of a stranger if it meant endangering your own life?

Next semester I am doing a module that involves choosing my own topic to investigate. I have to come up with a research question to answer. The essay is 6000 words long. The topics I am interested in are Depression, Schizophrenia, Smoking, Obesity, Body Esteem/Body Dissatisfaction, and Eating Disorders. Any ideas will be most appreciated! I have 3 possible research questions so far but I would like some more just incase none of these are suitable. I want it to be original and I want something whereby there is plenty of available literature that will help me answer the question. Serious suggestions only please! Thanks!

ERA is nothing more than a way for women to get thier fair share of the economic pie; it has nothing to do with "equal rights". With these legislated rights comes a tremendous responsability. The responsability to use the rights as they were intended and not to abuse them. What has happened ,howerver, is women have taken these legislated rights and abused them. They are quick to sue a man over sexual descrimination or harassment. Knowing this, men now walk on egg shells around women in fear of having to bear the legal wrath. Knowing this further women abuse it even more. Only in America can a woman say anything she wants to a man - regardless of how rude or demeaning - and the man is powerless to respond for fear of being accussed of descrimination or harrassment. Girls grow up in this culture we've created thinking they shouldn't be proud to be women even if they want to be moms and homemakers; that they are somehow a disgrace to the ER movement if they don't want to be a CEO

Also i've had dreams about my braces falling out, which in reality i no longer have anymore, and it's been a while since i've had them. Does anyone know what this might mean?

I had a dream I was wayyy up it the sky on a huge balloon shaped like somekind of weird person, I was using it as a slide, yea I know wtf right, lol. Well the balloon gave out and I fell all the way to the ground, but I didn't wake up before I hit the ground!!!! You know the rumors if you don't wake up after a big fall like that in your dreams then you really don't wake up, in the same dream I went somewhere really weird where there was a bunch of toxic water, I got stuck where it was and it started coming out with hard pressure all over me and I tasted it, then I managed to get out. Wtf?? Could I be dead and not know it.... This is weird...

Okay, I've heard a lot of people say, "I wish I could remember the dream I had last night!" Well, the thing is, I have no trouble with remembering most of the dreams I have. But, I want to STOP remembering. I have some pretty dark and gruesome dreams and everytime I wake up I just have a bad mental state after. I mean, I have random dreams about people getting their heads cut off and sewed back on (still alive though). I have dreams about dying. I have dreams about random people I attended school with who are dead asking for help. Help? Wtf? I have a random mind I guess. But, the one last night- There was this girl who chopped off her head in a suicide attempt but they sewed it back on and she didn't die. I ended up meeting her. Her face haunted my dreams last night. And, I have never seen that face before in my life. It is totally strange! I have the worst dreams ever! Can anyone relate?

Thanks ;)

Well, I live in Southamerica, so you see, there's no way I can even think of seeing this guy live...although, I have to say, I'd love to go to Las Vegas just to see him...anyway, here's the dream:
I go to a friend's for dinner, and among all the people he's there. I'm totally excited about it but of course, I don't go talk to him because I'm shy...thing is, seata on the table have names, andhe's right next to me! and suddenly we start talking...telepathically. Neither opens his mouth, but we both talk, and I freak out and he goes "why? this is a wonderful gift, why are you scared?" and then he says something about being connected...anyway, that's as much as I'm going to say.
Now, I don't think it means I'm going to meet him or anything, I mean, I'm not 13 anymore, but there must be some hidden message from my inner self that I can't see?

Thanks for your input :)

Jesus taught: "You have learned that “Eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth.” But what I tell you is this: Do not set yourself against the man who wrongs you. If someone slaps you on the right cheek, turn and offer him your left." Do you think this is a practical advice to follow? Do you follow this in your life? We, normal human beings have limits to forgiveness and endurance, then how to follow this teaching? When one country attacks another, should the attacked one follow Jesus's lesson?

Tired of working like men, not taking care of your God given responsibilities such as raising your children and making sure your husband is cared for. Your kids don't even eat good nutritious food due to your big Idea of working like a Man. The quality of salt is salty and sugar is sweet. If sugar tasts like salt then it is not sugar. So the quality of women is nuturing, loving, careing, shyness, compassion. What do your corperate jobs have to do with any of these qualities. Simply men in womens bodies. What is wrong with being a real woman? Don't say it is being a woman to work like a man because that is your illusion.

Ahh lately life has just sucked. I'm a very quiet guy who had an amazing girl friend for 18 months. When i left for college we had no idea how hard it would be. We broke up on good terms and she keeps telling me she still has hope but we both need to get used to our surroundings and regain identity. I loved being with her and I still can't stop thinking about her. I havn't talked to her over the phone or in person in over a month. I guess I can admitt I was totally too dependent on her. We spent everywaking moment together and both of us gave up our friends to be with each other. Very unhealthy. When I left for school we were both on our own and almost friendless. Being away from home on my own has really been hard for me. I'm very quiet and constantly over analize everything I say. I never used to be this unhappy. I loved living at home cuz it was a good place to come back to after a day at school. Now I'm on my own away from family and I feel lost and lonely. How can I improve

i have been traveling for the last 7 weeks in my small car around the southern tip of the Sinai.
I suppose I am here to RELAX and REFLECT to my self.
Clear enough to know my Dos and Don’ts!

I so often stayed outdoors in nature and also in few of the travelers’ hotels and camps, I also camped on my own and sometimes with my family too…, cooking, washing, swimming, playing and looking after one another, etc.
…I personally shared a wonderful time with my son and my wife, while they were around, we did much of hiking and cooking in the valleys and mountains along side with both Dahab and between Dahab to Taba.
We collected lots of herbs and made much of different teas and felt so healthy and well being.
we enjoyed 2 full moons and few tens of shooting stars..
we enjoyed tens of hours watching stars in silence... and content

Would this make me a hero or a goat?
My philanthropy idea is to create an organization in a small southern state that would counsel high school and JR high kids and their parents about the realities and opportunities available in college education and the job market. I know from experience that such young people are amazingly underserved in this regard -- public schools aren't good about such things. This would ultimately help make the economy more productive, and educate kids about opportunities they might not otherwise come to understand.

But if it works, it might have the effect of encouraging a town's brightest kids to go away to fancy out-of-state schools so as to become Silicon Valley engineers or Wall Street tycoons. So ... would parents like this or hate this? Would I be an enemy for exposing their kids to the notion of abandoning home? Would the powers-that-be locally help me or inhibit me from this? Would this harm the state by encouraging a brain drain?
