Apart from my kids, I couldn't think of anything I am truly passionate about. This got me thinking - does everyone else have a passion? (excluding family etc)

your kids is a good one - what's wrong with that

personally I'd have said getting out of work at the end of the day is my passion boss

There is always a possibility that your boss, afraid of being accused of sexual harrassment, was making a tentative 'come on' to you and hoped you might answer something along the lines of "people in power". That aside, I think most people have passions but don't recognise them as such.
Mine is still red haired women, but has included my photography equipment - an enduring passion for the medium and fine engineering? - through food stuffs (I'm not overweight) to computers and politics. In the latter case, a David and Goliath stance being mainly adopted.
I've found that having a passion does not necessarily bring happiness and fulfilment, but more often, obsessiveness and frustration.

I guess so well maybe not but those are the people (in my experience) whom dont really acheive much in life ..Not that I am saying this in relation to you . But seriously there are many people with not passion , therefore no ambition , no drive nothing to get them out of bed in the morning . And even if it is just youre kids then they are youre drive , youre passion, youre reason for doing all that you do . Isnt that enough passion . If you have more passion than that then great . But you dont neccassarily have to .

Well to answer this question, look more deeply. think about general thing and then think about those general thing in detail. For example a passion in life for me is living. More detail into this would be I am thankful to be alive, I have a passion interacting with others, I have a passion for making contribution to society. Another could be travel... I have a passion for boating to exotic place, a passion for Paris, I have a passion for road trips, a passion for tropical places.

Work realted it could be interacting with others, contribution, learning new things, etc. Hope this helps :)

Music is mine.
When you get home, make a list of things that are important to you and things that you want to accomplish in the next few years. Not everybody has a passion, but it's great if you do. Try taking some classes or doing something fun for yourself (maybe a dance or cooking class) You may find something in you you never knew you had or wanted. Best of luck.

I believe whatever you enjoy doing the most is your passion. Whatever gets that Joy jumping inside of you, that's your passion. If your children are your passion then so be it, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. At least you know they'll be parented and raised well, and neglected to become juvinile offenders.

Ally - I would have answered the same way...my family and friends. Still, as I think about it I do have other "passions". I am passionate about helping others. I am passionate about learning. I am passionate about writing. I am passionate about my spirituality. And ice cream, lol.

When you have children, they are your life and your passion, you really do not have the time or energy to consider anything else.( when was the last time you thought about yourself as `you` and not as `mum`?) You devote your life to them because they are so precious. When they have flown away into the world, you will re-discover yourself and your passions. Enjoy your children whilst they are children.
