Hi, here's a link to a song about how humanity are a vile and despicable species, and I tend to agree. What do you think?

The reason why I ask is because I suffer with depression and I feel everything which makes me sick and depressed. I read about Highly sensitive people and I had an aha moment.

My take on it is that having a minimum wage sets a defacto price for low end labor thus removing the natural self regulating price that a true free market provides. It would be impossble for all of the burger joints and car washes in the country to colude to set the price for labor. If the minimum wage were to be abolished all together, this would actually cause wages to rise because each employer would then have to set the price based on market forces. If the government tells all employers how much to charge for labor then they will simply all charge that rate and not have to pay competative wages.

From my experience, I've seen that American women feel utterly free to make sexist comments that aren't well thought out, but scoff at men who make sexist comments that are well thought out. Most women & men just wink an eye at this tendency. I don't think it's OK at all, and I know it's extremely common.
I just got out of a relationship where the dynamic I've just described was very prevalent. I tried to institute a no sexism rule, but I was the only one who followed it.
Discussions about the respective strengths and weaknesses of each gender are bound to come up. After the no sexism rule failed, I tried only calling her out when she made comments that were not well thought out and/or were self-serving, but that didn't work either. How do I manage my lack of tolerance of this tendency?

I am a 31 year old guy that is not ugly or goofy(in fact, my closest friends think that I'm pretty cool), but I am shy when it comes to introductions. I have a natural tendancy to approach every aspect of my life with the desire to do my best, but I trained myself to remain humble...no matter how good I become. I sink down into myself whenever I get a compliment.
When I was in my early teenage years, I was picked on by the pretty people (you know, the popular ones whose parents were obsessed with how well their kids turned out). These kids were the ones that always got their asses kissed. Anyway, I made an oath to never be like those whom I despised, and now I'm stuck.

So here I am...All these years later... trapped by my conditioning.
I know that it takes baby steps to start the path of improvement, and I am looking for the right stimuli.

Yeah ive noticed a few people thinking up some very difficult almost unrealistic resolutions for the new year. They last for one month, the next year they last for a month. BUT the next year may last for two months the next year may last for 6 months and finally its over. The change. LOL hopefully;) Are there any methods that might be better than just flat out time and expierience?

a coaching session? Its not like visiting a counsellor, a life coach just focus's on your aims and goals and helps you achieve your true potential. We also aid in you making the right decisions and following them through. whats that worth?
