I lean on the belief that there is a reason for everything, and look for a life lesson to take away for growth. Talk about it with someone, don't bottle it up. Part of emotion is "motion".
We all feel whacked for various reasons at different times. Don't do it alone, and it will pass. Have reasonable expectations.

Most of the time my depression has been caused by my not being satisfied with my station in life. While that happens less often than in younger years it still crops up once and awhile
When it does, now, I think back to where I started and realize that I'm not doing all that bad.
Not exactly where I thought I'd be at this point in my life but heading in the right direction at least.

it is only normal and adaptive to feel depressed when u loose someone or something. u could go the easy way, distracting yourself from what just happened and the way u feel by watching a movie or reading a book. or u could choose the harder path, and think about what makes u so damn sad and try to figure out a practical solution to the problem, or a way u could effectively cope with the negative emotion.

I go for a walk. The exercise and the fresh air do wonders for me, and it's nice just to be out in nature. I feel much better after a walk.

I eat .. i don't gain weight but i don't recommended to any one...
I might just turn it around and join a kick boxing class they say that anger can push depression away

Listen to music that makes me feel happy. In your case, don't listen to music that was "your music" together. Listen to music before you met this person. Keep your mind on making your life without this person or thing. Build yourself a new happiness.
