Hopefully you will change as you grow up. Maturity brings with it the ability to see and appreciate what is truly important in life. It usually takes getting kicked in the teeth by life a few times. Then you begin to realize that the way you look doesn't matter very much. If your confidence is based solely on the way you look you will learn this sooner or later.

Having a quiet self-confidence is one thing and isn't necessarily being cocky.
The only thing that keeps people from having ridiculous ego's is if they have their priorities right and realize that while it is nicer to have a good face than to have a bad face, it isn't curing cancer or stopping poverty or inventing a better space shuttle. Having a good face is a matter of luck (and maybe the ability to know what hairdo makes one's face look best).
Some people (who believe in God) worry that if they get too wrapped up in some superficial thing they have that God may teach them a lesson. I'm not saying I think that. I'm saying what some people worry about.
I had a friend once who used to say this: "No matter how beautiful or smart or wealthy you are, there will always be someone more beautiful or smart or wealthy and always be someone less beautiful or smart or wealthy."
I'm guessing you're young and haven't quite figured out what's important in life and what really isn't yet. What you once thought was a cute way to be you now don't - obviously, you're maturing. The reality is it probably wasn't all that cute then either, but you thought it was at the time.
I think people who are attractive need to be silently and secretly appreciative that they got good looks, but they need to tell themselves that it wasn't their doing or their accomplishment; and they need to remember that no matter what someone looks like it really is their character, integrity, and ability to be a decent person that counts.
Also, don't forget, too, that no matter how cute any number of people have thought you are, what is attractive or appealing is a very subjective thing; so there are probably quite a few people who don't find you attractive for one reason or another.
Looks tend to be the big concern when people are teenagers, but usually once people mature they make the most of whatever their appearance is and focus on more important things.
If all else fails, pay a visit to a children's hospital where parents have to watch their children fighting cancer; of visit a hospital where victims of congestive heart failure have had to have their two legs removed because of gangrene; or think about the soldiers at Walter Reed Army hospital or the parents who are watching their premature babies in incubators and on tubes; or think about the people in third-world countries and all the suffering . I know this is a corny thing to say, but if you really think about (or see) some of the suffering and horror that goes on in this world; and if you look in the mirror and realize how grateful you should be just to be healthy, maybe "cute" won't seem as important any longer.
Finally, did you happen to see the animated film, Beauty and The Beast and notice how in the beginning the prince was rotten to the ugly old woman, and later he had to figure out that it wasn't appearance that made someone loveable? The fact that you're concerned about this shows you're a decent person. Chances are you'll outgrow the "looks thing" without a lot of effort.

I agree with almost everyone here. You do need to stay humble. Do remember that you are not attractive to everyone and also, if you are cocky, you're only remembering all the nice things people say. You're obviously getting bad reactions from others because you said, "It used to be cute". I hate my future little sister-in-law. She thinks she's so cute and adorable. The fact of the matter is, no one likes her, she's ugly and pimply, and someone's going to beat the crap out of her one day. That'll happen to you too. And you'll hate the fact that a chick kicked your ***!

Just think of your self as being so good that you never have to let others know how good you are.
Look at others and see their good points.
It was said by some one once, that it is brilliant to come up with quick remarks. But it is even better to be so quick to think up a remark in time not to say it.
Just be kind, pleasant & listen to others.
Don't hurry to offer suggestions or answers.

Sooner or later someone will kick your *** and solve the problem for you. Or you might think about that the next time you get feeling cocky.

you should get a Hobie that lets out your anger and ego as well as let you have fun. for example karate, boxing, wrestling, or even paintball helps with anger problems. if you don't think you can't handle this yourself then you can see a counselor or let someone else here your problems. hope i helped!

If it is any consolation, not everyone thinks you are attractive. And keep in mind.....looks only go so far. The personality has to match or one can appear ugly. Vanity is ugly. Conceit is ugly.

To thy self be true!!! Your inflated ego is only a sign of insecurity, a defense mechanism. Just "keep it real". It's ok to be who you really are.

I'm so glad that you like yourself, so many people in the world don't. I guess you'll have to tone it down a bit. If someone says something nice about you just politely say thank you then when you're alone say YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
