The most dangerous animal is the Human. Destroying the enviorment, genocide, Nazism, Hiroshima ,Chernobyl, my list can go on and on and on. Yet it all depends on the individual. There are some amongst us that appreciate the world, and are kind and loyal. Not all are cruel and vile.

You pose a false dichotomy and expect an answer? Humanity has all traits; both good and evil. There are 100 acts of good to balance one act of evil. That is why we call it evil, though, because it is brought into such sharp relief. You need to get away from the dichotomous thinking and think of human behavior as it is; distributed normally, along a continuum of behavior.
PS typical social science.

Humanity is both. You can't have good without evil, and evil without good. Disney movies are a great example of that! You need a villian in order to have a hero, otherwise all the heros would be out of work.

Vileness and degeneration is not the first instincts of humans but due to the pressure of living some people do become base and evil .Even animals kill only when the hunger threatens.

Humanity is neither totally good nor totally evil. Problem is the media tells us of mostly bad things or bad news. Whereas, I know of many who are good at heart. True..it looks bad. I just think many of us have lost the ability to have compassion about others. Many of us do but not all.

Human nature is basically good but it is seriously flawed. The flaw is the result of our predatory and selfish instincts which are the product of evolution. As an intelligent species, we conceptualize God and attempt to direct our instincts toward good behavior, but not everyone succeeds in that, hence the reality of crime and violence. I believe it is a responsibility of being human to control our animal instincts; failure to do so means the individual is no better than an animal.

I'll pass on the song...I prefer to be positive and think of the glass as half full. There are lots of bad things in the world and lots of those are because of people, but there are lots of good thing too and I prefer to believe that the good ones are greater than the bad ones. I might not be right, but I'm a heckuva lot happier for believing it.

According to the Bible human beings are inherently evil. In fact, you can see that all around you. You do not teach a child to lie or disobey you. We have a natural inclination to do harm even to those who love us. Only Jesus can fix the problem.

Humanity is basically evil. For the ones who say we're basically good, their bar isn't high enough. Perfection is the standard and we all fall far short. We are selfish at our core and without forgiveness, we will have to pay for our trangressions, because a perfect God requires perfect justice.

good and evil are human concepts in and of themselves. Killing and robbery is not considered "evil" in the animal kingdom, it is simply a mode of survival, which humans have classified into "good" or "evil" to uphold an ordered society.
