it's not even like you can trade the points in for something like you can on your credit card points. OKAY you got an "anniversary" gift if you signed up for it, but even before that happened I was still trying to get points.

now I am approaching level 4 and yesterday spent like TEN hours on the site trying to get there. but WHY???? you don't get anything by reaching the next level, why do you still want to, when you see it coming?

I know him, not too well but I know him. Never thought anything of it until recently, now hes on my mind all the time. I 'talk' to him and we sit and listen to music together but its all in my head. Its like a film running through my mind. I am not actively controlling the thoughts, they are there like a waking dream. Its not unpleasant at all and it does not bother me, though I am curious about it.

I have a friend that is in desperate need of some help. He started out with a promising future, good job, marriage, purchased a home. He hooked up with the wrong people, got hooked on crack, then lost his job, his wife and his home. He’s been to rehab, no help, because he went in for the crack addiction but did not mention to them that he was an alcoholic and a compulsive gambler. He has had his driver’s license suspended, ( he was a truck driver),due to DUI , DWI’s and did not pay his fines and has done time for drug possession and have not held a steady job in years. If it wasn’t for family and friends he would not have a place to live or clothes on his body. He is a middle aged guy and although there are support groups out there for younger people, you just cannot find groups that can help a person of his age with what he is experiencing. It seems that he has just given up on life. Is there any help or hope for this person?

My cousin is schizophrenic and a Christian. She suffers from visual, auditory and tactile hallucinations, and is a raging marijuana addict. She says that she reads the Bible and draws strength and hope from it, but at the same time she thinks that her faith may be making her illness worse, as she reports seeing devils and peoples' faces contort into demons. I know religion is sometimes part of treatment, but could it make the mental illness worse?

i didn't mean to actually interpret every little word, every little action people do... it's not that i don't care it's just who i am. to not to actually know things without being told.

i mean, i wouldn't know someone's angry unless they tell me. i don't interpret non verbal cues well.

If someone has been claiming unemployment benefit for more than three months why not make it obligatory for them to do some community service work each week. Nothing too taxing, just picking up litter in parks, removing graffiti and other menial task two or three days a week (with time off for interviews etc). This way they are giving something back to the community and keeping up the habit of working for a living. Refusal to work would result in no payment. Exceptions would be made for people not working due to health problems and the like. What say you?

I have a problem with thinking that I am pregnant every month before my period, even when I haven't had sex! I will get to the point where I get sick to my stomach because I worry myself about it.
I know it stresses my boyfriend out because he doesn't understand. He's like we haven't had sex in 3 months?!
Why do I do myself like this and what can I do to help lessen my anxiety?
