I have found that list out my goals and priorities is always a good place to start. Just right down the things you want to accomplish every day, week, month, and year. Then prioritize them. Once you have that done, you need to decide how you are going to allot your time. For me going to the gym was a top priority, so I decided that no matter what other constraints I had on my time, I would set aside time each day to go work out. Then keep going down your list until you've blocked out as much time as you're comfortable with. I've found that knowing when and where I'm going, and what I'm doing makes me much more efficient. Think about how much time gets wasted trying to remember what it was you were supposed to do, or wondering in what order you need to get your tasks done. The hardest part is remaining dedicated to your plan. It may help to tell a friend or family member what you are trying to do, and ask them to gently remind you when you get off track. The other thing is to not get upset or discouraged when you have a day where you can't stick to your plan. Everybody has things come up, or days when they just feel like being lazy. Becoming more organized and efficient isn't an immediate thing, it's a gradual lifestyle change.

I used to organize people for a living. 1) An easy way to start is to put a large box by your front door. Every time you go through your home, get rid of things you don't need. When the box gets full, donate it where it will do some good. (Your trash is someone else's treasure.) Getting rid of clutter is THE thing that contributes most to being disorganized. Clean out your life, and it will be easier. I used to tell my clients: "Get rid of clutter so that energy can flow." Also "Possessions possess you." 2) A file cabinet is a must to organize all that paper. Throw away all you can or better yet help the environment by calling to get off mailing lists. 3) Make a to-do list and start with the easy, fast things like making that dental appointment. Then when you get to the things that are more difficult and take more time, the list will be shorter. I could go on and on, but that's a start. As you get rid of STUFF and cross things off your list, you will be much happier!

To be organized is one of the things peple need to enjoy life and live it in full. To be organized is to start everything in ourselves. For me, I do organize first my time and everything are planned for every task i want to do. In planning, expect the unexpected and have contingencies if the plan will not materialize. Organize first yourself, then do organize things that surrounds in you.
