What did it take? Im not even sure what my problem is. I dont remember ever being put down. I thought if I got to the root I could fix it but what if I cant discover that root? Im going to live a pathetic life unless this gets dealt with.

make constant eye contact when speaking to someone else. We always find ourselves staring at their mouth or hair, a dog crossing the road, a leaf that floated off the top of a tree. Why do we get so uncomfortable with eye contact? Have you ever realised that?

Most Americans have a reading level today on the level of a 12 year old during the 1960's and it remains that way till their adulthood. Major newspapers in the US are written on a 5 th or 6 th grade reading level. Does this have a connection with the lack of culture?

Is it that the psychiatrist listens and helps with peoples problems just like everyone else does for friends and family etc...or do they have the knowledge and training that goes way beyond just having someone to talk your problems through with?

And all would be like before, only with half the working hours? After all, if it's a free market economy, prices depend on buying power. If it is being lowered in a controlled, worldwide, simultaneous, action by 50%, so will, eventually, the prices, and we will be living in a society where people don't drop dead with heart attacks aged 38.

Do you get my spin on this?
Would you happen to know if there is literature available on this?
Surely, I can't be the first to have such an idea (the Arab world practices a 6-hour workingday limit, at least in Saudi Arabia).

How do you handle it when you're really mad at someone, so much that your heart pounds, etc, and you'd like nothing more than to tell them off, but know the best thing is to cool off. Of if ou're trying to reason with someone who keeps talking over you, loudly?

NO luck with the more masculine sex as far as dating. Difficult to build relationships with people. I have one friend whom I've known for 6 years but at times I feel that I can't relate to her at all. I have two associates that I could be closer to by now but for both of them when i planned to spend time with them something horrible has happened. The first one had two deaths in his family since I've know him and his grandmother was recently hospitalized, I've known him for 4 months. For the second guy his father just had a neurological stroke, during christmas break, how screwed up is that? I feel like I'm just bad luck and not meant to get close to anyone I feel so alone. And boy do I know i'm self absorbed but I've been alone like this my entire life. Even as a small child. So yes I do think about myself alot. I'm sorry, but can anyone relate a little?

Do you find yourself saying "All men are scum" or "All women are crazy"? Are you a misogynist or misanderer? Why? Justify yourself.

maybe not so much today because the sexism against women has simmered down but in society it ha always been that because "a woman could not provide" her husband with a son he took a second wife and blamed her for not fulfilling her responsibility...
with the education of today they should al know that the sperm determines the child's gender....then really they should blame themselves if they want boys so badly!
where is the sense in that? and plus i know there are still a few families who treat women like that and i am certain that they prefer boys over girls...why? and how dare they blame their wives when it is entirely their doing.
dont indians worship god in the form of a female as well...then why is that goddess to worshipped and this woman to be given the value of a servant and a burden if she is born to you?

i mean if you see in the US we have white people getting tans that come naturally with indian people....why then in india do we praise and idealize fairness....i mean especially old people ive noticed such as my grandmother-whenever they talk about someone being beautiful they always say first "oh she is so white"
i mean WHAT is UP with that?

on one hand you o critisizing westerners and then you wanna look like them? also arent there many actresses who are dark? dont they look beautiful...i have seen so many beautiful ladies with dark skin and indian people dont look at their features but their color...are we racist against ourselves bc judging from india's climate and our gene pool, darker color is desirable and really genes dont even affect color as much as environment...
but indian people are so against being dark it seems...i am sick of the superficiality...and the business they run on fairness products!

My brother is in a relationship with a chick who is ignoring him alot because he brings up serious **** to her all the time and she already stressed out enough. He says she is his dream and if he cant have her then he is giving up at life. Everynight talks about death and suicide and needs help. but he says if he was to get help it has to be on his terms, on how long he stays. He thinks he knows whats best for him when he goes and thinks he only needs the medicine and not the doctor to talk to him. he says ill go to "georgia regional" a mental institution, but im only gonna stay to get medication and he'll leave when he feels its best for him. but he is waiting for the relationship to be over. but he wont end the relationship and no matter how she treats him or what she does he wont break it off. its like he is obsessed with her because she is his whole life, well thats what he acts like.my? is what should i do when he wont get help? i dont want to call the law on him.
