we all know the typical setup of the household in india but i ask what is so wrong with the man cooking sometimes of helping his wife with the dishes women work outside just like men plus inside the home...dont u think men should do the same if they claim to be so great...doesnt that make women better if they do more work?
i hope i dont get any nasty vulgar remarks from u nasty male chauvanists out there
in practice men and women arent equals in marriage
i want to what ppl think on whether they should be or shouldnt be plz give real reasons not "bc men are better or women need to be told what to do"!

If you have, was it interesting?

I have a 26 yr old friend who was raised by disfunctional parents and she needs to learn different ways of coping with life rather than drinking alcohol or drugs or other destructive behaviors. I am willing to guide her and offer support but I believe true change has to come from within and I can't do that for her. But I can offer her resources to it, if I knew what they were. (and meditation is out, she won't sit still that long)
Where is the best starting point? What are the most effective ways to communicate with her? She has been trying to evolve but seems to panic and fall back into her old destructive patterns. I know she wants to change but she is also a rebel and a skeptic, so it'll have to be clever and interesting.
Does anybody know the right thing to say?

My husband and I often get in a stupid argument about this... The theory is that in order to see color there has to be light, so when your eyes are closed are your dreams in color or in black and white?

I work predominantly with women and was wondering what was best to put in any christmas cards I give. Those that I have received from women have all been "happy christmas, love from".

Was wondering if it is a bad idea for a guy to put that in a card to a women.

Just that putting simply "Happy christmas, from" seems a bit thoughtless.

Any ideas?

If it was legal would you opt to put a loved one out of their misery if they asked you?

My thoughts: we have compassion to put down our animals when they are dying of a chronic illness, or have had a traumatic event which there is no hope of recovery. Should we not extend this to humans?

we all know that men esp in india like to treat women like junk
when its their sister they will murder a guy for looking at her-they will not allow her to dress the least bit revealing but when its another woman they want as revealing as possible without considering that she is a sister and a daughter too?
i would realli like the know how men justify this! you may not fit in this category so enlighten me by saying something good!

Well, to make a long story short. I've been autistic for the largest part of my life. Since birth, to be exact.

Anyway, since I joined Yahoo Answer, about 2 days ago, I've only spent time answering things. Most of the things I've answered were questions from people in Social Science part. Think I should even bother? I'm kind of not really the person who should. Since due to my ausistic nature I have the annoying ability to type stories as pompuous like this without wanting too... On top of that, I have a twisted view of this world, sort to say. Especially on social subjects.

I would like only serious answers, if you have a very funny comment, post it with some serious response in it. :)

Is it how you grew up?
Do parents have contribution to this?
Failed Relationships?
What you see in the mirror but don't like?

Better question is how do you over come this and feel good about who you are....I feel good about who I am even though I have made many mistakes and messed up several good relationships...but how can I help friends overcome their self esteem problems.?

I had the best weekend in the world and a rather good Sunday also. Lets spread some joyousness and tell each other the reasons we are all happy!
I went to a party, had a great laugh, ate some great food, saw my family, enjoyed watching some good football etc etc

People are always talking about chemistry between a guy and a girl whether on movies or tv shows or real life.

What are they talking about when they say they have chemistry?

What are the signs that one has chemistry or you and that person have chemistry together?

Be as specific as you can! =)

i'm ok during the day cause I keep myself busy but I get so frustrated at night - I really long for that special someone. how can I find a substitute for that feeling? to me, nothing compares to the joys of romance so pl. keep career/friends/hobbies out of it; that's a different world

(ok, so my quest. really is - how do I forget about it and find inner peace knowing I may remain single. I hate it when people don't realize this is a very possible option, there are no guarantees here, you can control the path of your education but this is up to fate no matter what you do, where you go, etc)

thanx
