i'm ok during the day cause I keep myself busy but I get so frustrated at night - I really long for that special someone. how can I find a substitute for that feeling? to me, nothing compares to the joys of romance so pl. keep career/friends/hobbies out of it; that's a different world

(ok, so my quest. really is - how do I forget about it and find inner peace knowing I may remain single. I hate it when people don't realize this is a very possible option, there are no guarantees here, you can control the path of your education but this is up to fate no matter what you do, where you go, etc)

thanx

Well YOU get to decide where your life goes(the most part) who do you want to be and what you want to be and what you want to do.

If none of those cliche answers help then maybe take up yoga or meditation or pray and be silent.

There are medicine out there that take away your romantic/sexual desires. I'm on one of them But it's not for that purpose it's a good side effect. Good luck!

It is very difficult to be patient. You should remain as positive as possible, because if you take on a negative look it will reflect for anyone who might become interested. You must remain open, even though you are lonley.

Confidence in yourself is a key. I was alone for MANY years and I gave up on trying, became confident in myself as a single person existing alone, and there he was.

I guess I am trying to give advice on how to get a mate, but me accepting myself really was what let me let go and be confident and comfortable. I was able to let myself be happy.

Make a list of everything to do to meet someone, from going to the grocery store to going to a worship service, anything you can think of where that special someone might be. Each day, pick one item from the list to do. Then, nights should be easier, because you can reflect that you're moving toward your goal and thinking of other things to do the next day.
