how long should we wait before we begin to look at things as human problems and non-human problems ? and ....one step further....would it be appropriate to have an organization whose stated purpose was to further the interests of tall white american men? (or to address the problems which are of interest to that group). Keeping in mind that any problem suffered by any member of any group will certainly be suffered by other members of other groups. I am not being flippant here when i say for example domestic abuse, whose victims are ALMOST exclusively female, the fact is not every single victim is female. So those members of those groups effectively fall through the cracks, and isnt every group formed to help people who have some special circumstances which are in some ways out of their control, and isnt that groups purpose to provide some form of empowerment. Why leave out any individual? why isnt every individual welcome and encouraged to benefit from any group interested in equality?
