Karate, simply means "empty hand" and originated in China.
Tai Chi is a spiritual exercise.
Tai kwan do is a Korean form of Karate.
Kung Fu is more spiritual and is mind over matter or "thinking ones self through a situation " or using deadly reinforcement!

Because people only have to think of the name of one martial arts so they can be lazy. Also karate meaning open hand or something like that does accurately describe all forms of martial arts that don't involve weapons. As for the heart thing I guess just try copy and pasting it from somewhere else repeatedly. Mabey save it as a notepad or something so you can have a source to go back to.
