You should not watch porn on company time. You're lucky you didn't get fired on the spot.

You got off very lightly. That would have been instant dismissal in a lot of places.
If you must look at porn then do it in private and on your own machine. Its a sure bet that no company wants that kind of stuff on its history files.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad new but it may go badly for you yet. No matter what your views on the subject then expect any company to take the 'ultra conserative' view. Porn is a no-no friend....unless you work for a company that produces the stuff

Maybe he was trying to honor your privacy. Maybe you should consider watching porn on your own time. Some places of business may consider that company theft...you know surfing for porn when you are supposed to be working...it is sometimes considered stealing time. Who knows....maybe he had to get ahold of human resources to figure out how he is supposed to handle this situation. My suggestion...stay quiet about it, stop doing it and maybe this will be a thing of the past.

At work!? If it happened a while ago (2 weeks or more), than he's probably to embarrassed to do any thing himself. If he does take disciplinary action I would just quit, you'll never live it down, and something like this will definitely get out.

I suggest you say nothing and hope that he forgets about it.
I also suggest that you try being a model employee for the foreseeable future so that he does not use the movie as an excuse to fire you.

You can always claim the 'pop up' defence if he ever does confront you..."Sir, I was just browing through the internet on my break looking for a game to play (online like uproar and such sites) and this pop-up box opened and it was playing a porno asking me to join a website!"...
That will hold up i'm sure, i've seen it happen before, until he gets the IT Technician to pull up your deleted history on their master hard drive.

Thank God that you were not fired, if it was during office hours.
In any case, I'd shut up about it and pretend it did not happen. Your boss, is giving you an out, so I'd take it.

I think you owe him an apology for doing this on work time, he may choose not to say some thing but he may be making plans for the person who will replace you

If you don't want to get fired STOP watching porn at work. It's a job not a porno theater.
