As a tumble weed, or many snowflakes drifted,
Always feeling high strung, as if my weight has shifted,
Riled up over nothing, drawn toward my instinct to be....
Overwhelmed by my desire, to have someone next to me..
Not that I'm shy or all that bad looking, I catch an eye or two....
Cannot I find a woman to warm, when the temp is negative two----
Has the fire burned too low? Have the embers grown too cold?
All I seek is love and what follows, I'm only 32 years old!
Yet to be married, I've played the field, but I'm tired of running the bases...
New love may erase old wounds, And plant a smile on two faces!
Every poem I write is genuine, from my heart, my minds archive...
So my question is simple..Is it healthy to have this drive?
Toward love and warmth and a smiling face....the same one for the rest of my life?
As I watch my scenery pass, I would love to share it with a wife......

Hope you enjoyed it......I'm just bored with the single thingle. Sarcasm not necessary.....

I'm not answering questions just for the possibility to be chosen best answer, but it certainly make me feel more appreciated when it does happen. With every question I answer I do my utmost best to help the askerer. Therefor it is very frustrating when they don't even make an effort to pick a best answer. I don't mind if they choose someone else'e answer, just as long as they do so. So, please every user on this site, try to be considerate and choose a best answer!

I noticed in myself that my mood is off lately. Easily irritated. I am not normally like this. I am almost 42, am I going through another change??? I got put on antidepressants today. Isn't there another way to resolve or to not act this way anymore. Or am I to take these pills for the rest of my life. I am trying to figure out how to put my irritations, in to giving me something positive to conteract the negatives. Like exercise or something.

I have been told three years of living expenses BUT who determines the living expenses? I have lived on as little as 8,000.00 US one year-hated it but I did it and without any government help. Over here unless you are pregnant, have kids or are new immigrants you don't qualify.

Why is it, that the people we allow ourselves to be the most vulnerable with, are the people who hurt us the most?

Most people has one or more of the following:
- wealth
- intelligence
- happiness
- dream or career
- a good family relation.
But most of the time, I felt that I have nothing of any one of this. Things are getting worst. I can consentrate because of this.

*Wealth
- We have tried everything but still, we are poor. We have no savings in the bank.

*Intelligence, Dream and Career
- They say am good, then why my grades are falling when I thinks of anything that I cannot get. There is always a better person that can defeat me.

*Family
- it has been destroyed 6 years ago due to misunderstanding.

*Happiness
- I already lost 3 bestfriends now, one in 1996, 2000 and 2004. And the person that I want to be with is so much different to me. We want to play computer games but we have different views in wines, beers and other forms of gimmicks. He joins other people for this matter, which makes me jealous. I desperate to have a bestfriend that I like and will likes me forever.

Philosopher Hume pointed out that we have no underlying ‘personal identity’ beneath or behind these perceptions and feelings which come and go.

Do you agree that when you look within yourself you do not observe a “self” in addition to the perceptions and feelings that you observe within yourself?

If you agree that you do not observe your “self” in this way, should you conclude (with Hume) that you do not have an underlying ‘personal identity’ but that you are simply the “stream” of perceptions and feelings that you observe within yourself?

I have a re-occuring dream theme in which I am trying to find houses that I used to living in in another state. But everywhere I go, they are torn down, built over, or just not there for some reason or another. I have been having these dreams at least every month for the past 10 years. While the dreams are all different, the theme is the same. Sometimes it is in first person, and I am actually doing the hunting, other times it could be me telling someone about the dreams, sometimes I am another person viewing myself trying to find the houses or places. The dreams are always different in some way, but ALWAYS having to do with me hunting down a non-existant past.

To supplement this, I should say that there are large blocks of my youth that I cannot recall. I have not had any physical trauma. I'm not sure if I have some type of blocked out mental trauma or not.

Can someone help me understand what these dreams are saying? Serious answers please.

I am not in the war but with the threat of multiple new wars I understand that a draft is almost inevitable. And I think that I may be further isolating myself from the world and society as I pretend to believe that I am somehow special, or worthy of some sort of test. But Im not actually pretending, I feel like I am being tested by reality itself. I am not afraid to die, but I want to die for what I believe in, not for someone elses beliefs. I feel that I've gone through so much mental discomfort over the past few years and I dont believe that a war in Iran or North Korea will be the end for me. I realize that according to my research, others have gone through so much more suffering than I have, and that I have no basis for complaint.

Consider person A and B, A is optimist, B is pessimist. Theoretically, B needs some advice to become optimistic, and psychologists proudly say B can do so by having positive thoughts. I suggest that this is a paradox itself.

Lemma 1: If B is pessimistic, it is because the surroundings has influenced him in the negative ways (like always fail in doing something) that inductive knowledge suggests that B is not going to do any good in subsequent attempts.

Lemma 2: B might be pessimistic because of his genetics (such as autism which causes failure in social context and leads to poor self esteem).

The problem here is B is not able to think positively because he is in a condition where the way of thinking doesn't have any real outcome (just eg. if u don't study for your exam, having positive thoughts doesn't make u score better).

Lately I've been questioning some elements of reality. Is absolutely everything some sort of test? Are my 5 senses some sort of sensory testing equipment? Im starting to consider the possibility of every single footbal program that I've watched, every news telecast, every piece of historic evidence and scientific fact has only inserted itself into my perception and my senses(my life) in order to test me. The existence of wildlife and wildlife habitat, the beautiful moon reflected upon the ocean during the evening, is something lying to me? Am I really just meant to die in warfare? Or do I have some sort of option? Please, can someone give me logical advice. I know I sound insane, and I AM, but I am also intelligent. And I stopped smoking cigarettes, marijuana and any other drugs or dirty habbits years ago in order to pursue the martial arts. I am DEAD serious, I have a couple glasses of wine a couple times a week and thats about it. I am not an drug adict, but maybe I am to dillusion..

In my own experience, no race is smarter or more intelligent than any other race. (If God really made it like that, that would be messed up.) It's so acceptable to be white and smart or intelligent; but when a black person is intelligent, he/she can get flack from both white and black people. Asians are kicking America's butt with their intelligence and technology, but they certainly aren't smarter than Americans. I think there should be less resistance to intelligence and ambition no matter what sector of society it comes from. When 5 pastors were telling me not do a certain thing, a homeless guy who smokes crack told me to listen to God for myself and do what HE said. I did just that, and it turned out all 5 pastors were wrong and the homeless guy was right. Stereotypes can make some people feel safe, but stereotypes aren't really working in anyone's favor.
