Ignore it. She admits to having been around enough jerks throughout her life, so maybe she is just relating her experience to your situation...maybe she is bitter about her past, and maybe she was naive herself and is just trying to warn you that you could be heading for trouble if you get involved with this man.

(no offence meant to Sweetie)

Naive is what you are, not a "bad" quality but from the sound of it, you're young and inexperienced. Period. That you even worry about Sweetie's Answer attests to this. Beware- the guy, in all the conversation between the 2 of you, should have mentioned that he has a couple kids...

I agree with lil icee.

Naive: having or showing a lack of experience, judgment, or information; credulous.

It seems a little off to me. If you guys have been talking for a while he should have told you about his kids. If he hasn't mentioned them to you, just think about how he'll act once you two are together (if you decide to get together). Maybe he'll forget to mention you when some new cutie comes along. I would be very careful on this one...It does seem to me that you are a bit inexperienced in this arena.

Well like she said, did you have to dig to find out he had kids, or did he tell you. If he told you I'd say go for it. If he didn't, it just proves that he can't take care of his own, and if you were with him he couldn't be counted on to take care of you or any kids you may have. So.....
