It does amaze me the way that some questions are phrased which indicates a couple of possibilities regarding the thinking going on.......
1 - There is a core of ignorance (very poor education ~ and or ~ English is not their 1st language!)
2 - A lack of awareness, an indifference to respect, and lack of any self respect
3 - A very large centre of self-centeredness with little or no concept of the potential rewards of interactions between users.
I often have the sense of an individual being disconnected from the world at large, but seemingly maintains a link with it through a media base. And, my impression is that they appear to function without an understanding of any interactions, nor of the pressures and stress's of them, nor the likely results of outcomes ~ plus any sub-sequential arising issues and problems.
Whether this in itself is 'sick,' is open to debate, but I'd happily settle for the term 'dysfunctional.'
Some may well be 'disturbed,' though I also have the impression that some behave in such a way in order to see what mischief they can create ~ through faking a disturbed behaviour!
Of course, I could be wrong.
Sash.

I dont always think that the person is 'sick', just that there is something about the net-and particularly things which are forum like in nature-that people feel almost tantalised by the anonymity. I think its almost too tempting at times not to make a strange/disturbing comment. Its like an itch you need to scratch. I mean if you really think about it, we all practically have an interest in the macabre and disturbing, its part of our nature as human beings, and there are plenty of examples of this eg People who stand and watch car accidents, staring at your next door neighbour getting undressed etc etc. Wrong? Sure, but we still are drawn to it. Hopefully not getting too far of the point, but I think we as a species have many ?disturbing areas within us, and that things like this can bring it out. I guess also some people are just a bit immature as well, which I also feel is linked with the above.

When I see a `sick` question or a `sick` answer, I take time to re-read it , because when you do so very often you can see that the person has said what they have, just to wind us up! They know that by being controversial or blatantly saying the opposite to what would be expected they will cause an outcry! We will all look at the avatar to see who this very awful person is, and Hey Presto! the `sicko` has achieved recognition. On the other hand if they mean what they say and truly are sick, we can only hope that they will tire of answers, so the rest of us can continue sensibly.

they are only disturbed if you measure them against your own norm, some however are diusturbed against the international norm, and ive not actually come across any? perhaps i just dont go for those questions the disturbed are asking? perhaps that makes those who do, disturbed? perhaps im disturbed? im confused.........i never realised how many stupid people could get on the internet and ask stupid questions?

That is true and we the healthy ones must set an example for them to follow.
There has been some postive changes . You rarely hear from the spelling cops type .
Yahoo has allowed more freedom of speach (certainly better than msn or aol.

Report them or abuse them back. They are bored and cowards to boot!
You can also opt to go to the UK only pages, if that eases your mind!
And yes they are some seriously disturbed people about!

Some , yes. This is America and I guess we just have to tolerate it or else be labeled 'politically incorrect'.
