Those of you who do have a degree in sociology, what did you do afterwards?

While some may know me as being complacent, maybe humorous or obnoxious, I usually prefer to think of myself as very reserved, stoic, and rather pretentious. I don't completely like that about myself, but it's my prefered self-description. But I'm beginning to realize that I'm a lot less that way than I thought; that, while still very much an introvert, I am more extroverterd than I ever would have thought possible. I think I'm changing.

I have told her time and time again that she should not even be thinking about him in that kind of way coz if anything were to happen, like if they kissed or something, then the feeling would only get stronger and it would eventually end up in disaster. She listens to me but I guess she can't help herself. They have so much in common, in fact, if I didn't know any better I'd say they were brother and sister just by their similar behaviour and personalities. What can I possibly say to this girl so I can get her to understand that she is definately headed down the wrong path? Does anyone out there understand, know or experienced what I'm talking about? Please help me help this girl get over these feelings. Also, she has never had a male family figure in her life, and she just got re-aquainted with this cousin after several years and now they are getting close.Could it be that she just admires him alot? Is this normal? Are there any shrinks out there? I'm really worried about her.

Let say, someone told you not to eat...a piece of chocolate bar that they left on their table. Then let say you decide to take the chocolate bar and lick it until it's all gone. When the person comes back, they ask, did you eat the bar? you would say, NO. Cause basically you didn't eat the bar, you licked it....BIG difference.

Do you think online social networking helps socialise us in the real world?

As people are spending more and more time on the likes of bebo and myspace, do you think this affects them socially? Or does it help them learn more about the world?

at which point would you hit someone, I have never hit anyone in my life, I just don't seem to have the anger in me, I've been hit (not very well), I've been slagged off ( only to go one better), and people have been very rude to me, but I just can't find it within myself to hit someone, does this make me weak or are the people whi offend me just laughable.

P.s, I never said I wasn't aggressive
