I have a constant inner "talking" when I think, or do thinks or debate, or choose, or whatever....almost like "hearing yourself think" you know. But a friend of mine said she doesn't...and never did...so...Do we all do it but some of us are more in tune to listening to it, or Do some people not do it? What do you think? No pun intended. ha ha

I feel like i've gotten really complacent lately...like the past 2 weekends i've just been really lazy - sitting around watching tv and going on the computer when i should be studying or going out with friends. It's like i want to stop being lazy, but i just don't feel like putting forth the effort. And yet, I have this problem where if I'm too busy, I just get wayyy too stressed out and run myself into the ground. How can I find a happy medium between lazy and busy?

How difficult do you find life to be? Be really honest, and don't base your answer on how you're feeling right now. Tell me why you feel the way you do.. Do you love it, or just live it and take happiness when it comes? I'm just curious how different other peoples views/perceptions are...

Let's say you have an ax. Six months after you buy the ax, the handle breaks. So you replace the handle. Six months after you replace the handle, the blade breaks. So you replace the blade. Is the ax you have now still the same ax as you had twelve months ago? If not, when did it not become the ax you had twelve months before the blade broke?

I would like responses of both Pro and Con, as this topic is debatable. Does everyone in the UK have equal access to a GP, NHS, emergency treatments etc or is social class still a major determinant of health and morality in Britain?

Some believe that problems like infant morality rates, levels of dental health, length of life, cause of death and incidence of illness are all determined by social class.

While others believe everything is equal. And that differences in health are due to one's generic inheritance and individual lifestyle choices.

Thoughts?

I ask this question because I have found that I can only get so happy no matter how good something is. When someone gives me a present, no matter how great of a present it is, I only feel a slight feeling of happiness. When I got a 1530 on my SATs and got into my dream college, I was somewhat happy for 10 seconds and then felt a sense of anger that I didn't get a 1600 and into Princeton.

I don't know if this helps, but I also have a hard time showing emotions (it's not that I'm hiding them, they're just not there). While I have friends, I never feel the need to reach out to them to do something, normally one of them will call me and then we will do something. When we hang out, I'm only somewhat happier. I've broken up with several girlfriends because of my emotional distance.

I know I sound like I'm a psychopath or something right now, but it's not that. I can feel empathy, remorse and I hate manipulating others.

Maybe if I can find out what the problem is, I can fix it

When she is well endowed and wearing a top that's very revealing showing alot of cleavage and gets upset when she catches a guy staring at the twins. What do you expect a man to do. Everyone knows men are more visual and women are more sensual, but if a man was well endowed and wore pants that really showed it off, I guarantee you women would be staring the same. But, women are better at staring than men.

There is this kid that goes to my school and even though I barely know him and i have gone to school with him for 2 years, it like kills me to see such an innocent guy be so deep into drugs. I have a few obsticals to overcome as well to help him if I do. 1. I'm gay and I am attracted to him (he knows this) 2. I am super anti-social and am a very boring person 3. I have no idea what to do if I were to ask him to hang out to get his mind off of using.

I realise in London it would be one figure and in Belfast another, just as in New York it would be X and Alabama it would be Y, but please give me a general base line that would fit in most of the two respective countries.

Now when I say upper middle class I don't mean wealthy and I don't mean average, I mean above avaerage. For instance kids attend private or parochial schools, nice modern well-furnished house in the suburbs, a summer cottage, a boat, two newer vehicles, a couple holidays a year, eat out at least once or twice a week, etc., etc. How much would somebody in the Professional/Managerial classes need to earn to be comfortable?
