I have a constant inner "talking" when I think, or do thinks or debate, or choose, or whatever....almost like "hearing yourself think" you know. But a friend of mine said she doesn't...and never did...so...Do we all do it but some of us are more in tune to listening to it, or Do some people not do it? What do you think? No pun intended. ha ha

yeah, i think we ALL do, but by degrees are more or less tuned in with it. i bet your friend also has a high pain tolerance. in a way, that can be a gift to be able to ignore body & thought cues, but i'd rather be like me (and you) and know exactly what i'm thinking, when i'm thinking it! interesting Q.

I do too, and it's like I hear the voice, but it's in my head not in the outer environment, and it actually sounds like my own voice, but I can change the sound of the voice for a while until I stop conciously thinking about it. Then it goes back to my own voice. And no, I don't hear voices, it's just the way I think. Very interesting question. I've wondered that myself a few times :D

I have an inner dialogue, I think this is how we chose right from wrong. I also have a dialogue when I can hear myself think. I feel it's necessary sometimes when you just do'nt know what to do. I also feel if your quiet you can stop the chaos and be better in tune with yourself.

I do for most of the time I think, but I never really stopped to think about it before. Certainly if I'm trying to sort out a problems or something complex, not sure about the rest of the time. I'll be listening for it from now on though!

I believe it's a matter of your higher self speaking to your lower self. In other words my carnal desires such as lust
conflict with my higherself's value of responsibility of acting on it.(this is not to say sex is bad of course).
I have noticed whenever I don't act on what the higher self is telling me I always suffer and am soon faced with the same situation in another cloak.
