Often people who blindly follow the crowd don't appreciate the truth if it goes against what they have been taught to believe in. Sometimes knowing how and why things are the way they are is not of interest to them, all they know is to trust in what they have been told. Showing them something that is 'different' does nothing to affirm their personal beliefs and it brings an element of doubt into their lives, so they have no desire to hear about it....hence the hate.

Whose truth?
The point I am trying to make here is there are some people who feel their way is the only way and are really put out when others do not agree with them.
It, also, depends on what this "truth" is. Does it undermine the other person's self esteem or values? A lot, also, depends on how this "truth" is presented.

truth hurts... then again being lied to in some cases hurts more, it's all in your point of view, perhaps some of us are "conditioned to go with the herd" the others are the ones who'd rather hear " yeah that dress does make you look a little puffy go with the jeans..."

Because the truth can hurt. I know we have beed raised to tell the true. But it can hurt or get u into trouble,
So whenever the truth os told about somethings u may not want to know about it can cut like a knife.

I love the truth...
Both hearing it for myself, and telling it to others.
usually, most people can't handle it.
Now... If you can find someone who actually KNOWS what the truth is... tell them to call me.
Truth is all relative...
I happen to be a very strange little girl... and that's the truth!

people hate hearing truth because it is very inconvenience for them,in the first plaxe lies are told for our convenience not just because of anything else, when truth is told people find it hard to explain things, face the consequence of their actions, the effects of it to their life, not that it is hard and difficult but because it is easier to lie and be free from all the burden of what is true and then they end up being a prisoner of whatever lies they said and hence the saying the truth shall make you free.

The truth varies according to who you are asking. That's why. When you attack a persons truth you're attacking their person, so people tend to be defensive.
