Do people deal drugs because of some kind of psychological disorder that resulted from past experiences? (e.g. neglectful / abusive parents, etc...?)

Does anyone know a free resource where I can find out facts and figures related to global consumption?

For exmple, Globally we consume $42bn worth of chocolate. Which is actually true. Or globally we spend $18bn on makeup.

I'm trying to resarch how much we spend globally on a range of things. Anyone know anywhere I could find some of this kind of information?

he broke up with me a couple of weeks ago because of a misunderstanding...i explained everything to him, and cleared the misunderstanding, and he did his part and explained everything to me.
After all that, i asked him if we could discuss our issues and give it a second chance. He sweetly rejected, and told me to move on...I got the idea, but i know he was still mad..(he also has issues grieving over his parents). Anyhow, i stayed away, and didn't contact him any more.
Yesterday, i woke up to find a message from him saying "good morning, how are things, i hope you're fine". I answered back telling him i'm fine.
What is that...i really don't understand men. I know he's passing through very hard times right now, but this is very confusing....
If you guys think that there might be a chance for us again, please let me know, and state why....Thank u...
And to all those who are gonna say get over it...thanks but not quiet the answer i'm looking for..thanx in advance u guys....

I have been reading about the Mexican War 1846-1848, especially the Battle of Chapultepec Castle (1847). The experiences of the battle between the US soldiers and Mexican troops remind me about the story of the Alamo. I have been wondering about the casualties based upon the stories of old weaponry and fighting styles. Nevertheless, Hollywood should make a movie about the battle, such as they did for the movie Glory (1989).

I visited some websites that help to explain that there were some African-Americans who fought for the Confederacy during the Civil War. I wondered if there any historical evidence for this?

I am attracted to an older man at work who I think is attracted to me too. I can't get him out of my head. I love my spouse and would never leave him to pursue someonelse especially this man at work who is married also. The fact is I wouldn't have even noticed him if it weren't for the fact that he started talking to me. I noticed him and found him to be very attrative now I can't stop thinking about him. It feels like I am in school again, when I am at work I can't wait to see him because I like that he looks at me and I even take pride in how I look otherwise I probably wouldn't care. How do I deal with these feelings? I can't stop thinking about him and I love my spouse very very much and would never leave him or cheat on him but I find this man so attractive why can't I stop these feelings? - Help!

I'm fully aware that babies aren't going through puberty yet, and they dont have hormones to get these feelings however i was readn a passage on fetishes that stated: psychiatrists and psychologists don't agree on what causes a fetish. In the case of a foot fetish, they believe it started when the person was a baby and played with Mommy's toes, sucked them instead of his thumb, was sexually aroused and became attached to the feelings. Therapy and medication can reduce the attraction, but not cure it. (Explain)

I am 25 and work as a receptionist at a factory. The maintenance man who is 45-50 who tends to make his way upstairs where the offices are seems to make a point of coming into my office quite often and makes conversation with me, he'll make sarcastic comments and smile, when he hears me answer the phone he might copy me and then one day when the weather was bad we were talking and I said I hope that there is a snow day and he said that I'm not in school anymore so that doesn't happen. He shoveled the steps outside came back in and told me that he unlocked the door for me and then he said with a smile as I got up to pour some coffee 'how old are?' and I told him that I was 25, it seem like he was asking me cause he found me attractive but he was curious of my age so that he didn't feel guilty for having a crush on me. I'm attracted to him, his wife works there too but they are never together. Everytime he sees me he goes out of his way to say something usually sarcastic. What do u think?

do you think that most guys that are the worst homophobic ones are secretly gay.

i saw a show on cable about that.
they were testing two groups of "straight" guys

one group was very comfortable with their sexuality and had no homophobic issues

the other group had very homophobic issues.

they were not told what the study was about.
they put them one by one in a room and and put a device around thier wrist to measure pulse, and around their penis to measure arousal.
then showed them a series of videos of straight and gay porn.

the study showed that the straight guys who were comfortable with their sexuality and were not homophobes had no reaction to the gay porn....while most of the homophobic "straight" guys got aroused while watching the gay porn...

...............aint that at biaaach!!!
