Well first of all you do not know yet if you will be unhappy in a bad area, its possible but maybe if you put your heart into it and work hard, perhaps you will love this area (I know someone in a similar position to you that did and remained there). How indeed also can you determine you will be moderately happy in the other school.
In your position I would ask myself, what I want the most, if it is the four yrs in the bad area with the promise of better things to come then do I want it enough to take a chance on it.
This is really a win win situation, you go to the bad area and either it works well for you or it doesnt and you leave, there are plenty of jobs out there for teachers sooooo no more predictions, make you mind up time and go for it, good luck!

I'm taking a guess, but I think you might be talking about going to college for four years. If that's the case, then yes you should definitely go to college and get a degree. When you're young, you don't realize how important it is to have a good job that pays well and that you like. Whether you realize it or not, a person with a college degree will always have a better position and a fatter paycheck than someone who doesn't. That will carry you for the rest of your life. If you don't and just do what is easy right now just to make yourself happy for the moment, then you will always be somewhat behind in your life with money, respect, and a decent job. Taking care of yourself should be your number one priority. That way you will never have to settle for what someone else gives you.

you really have to think about this one because on the first hand what if you don't make it to 4 years what if something happens? The world could end or you could die, not saying you will just think, what if u wasted your last 4 years being sad. But also what if this isn't as bad as you think maybe it will work out to make you super happy, maybe you'll make great friends or change someones life. Only you can decide what you do because there are always strange outcomes in life. But always remember that when you work hard for something in the end the reward will be amazing just because u wanted something bad enough to go threw something u would rather not have done.

Excuse me, the question is a bit silly.
It is up to you if you DECIDE to be happy or not. Things don't make you happy, you decide to be happy or not.
If you are going to do something for four years and don't like it (study), that does not mean that you HAVE to be happy or unhappy. It is by the by.
Happiness is a choice. If you choose to be unhappy for the next four years, that is your shout. You have everything you need from now until the day you die to be happy. If you cannot see this, then you will never truly be happy.

Who says you will be unhappy for the full four year. No one knows what tomorrow might bring . I left home and joined the army many moons ago and was homesick for a while but while there I met my husband and have had 25 years of happy marriage and 5 children and 2 grandchildren so go for it and see what comes out.

I will always give everything for that instant of total happiness. Those are the times that makes life worth while. So if i could have that forever and the price to be payed is 4 years of unhappiness...I would do it. But it must be you who give yourself the happiness. We can never rely on other people for it.

In order to answer that you would have to disclose what is going to occur in the four years of unhappiness to make you unhappy.
If you are a teenage contemplating college, please know when I tell you that college is nothing like any school experience you have had so far. Give yourself 3 months and you will at least like it.
If that is not it, then a straight answer to the query is... I would rather be unhappy for 4 years then happy for the rest of my life!

That's up to you. Four years can be very long if you're in the wrong place. On the other hand, is that other place that bad? Maybe you can start a new life there. Or maybe you want the other job so badly that you can put up with four years of misery.
