Is there any strength in the idea that bumble bees are too large to fly when their body weight (ratio) is compared to their wing size?

Recently I heard the 'theory' that because they aren't aware of that belief they aren't affected by it. True or no...?

I love all kinds of monkeys and would love to be in a setting where you could get up close to them. Do you know of any places near you where this is possible? Research facilities or zoos or sanctuaries? thanks!

The scientific definition of a species is if 2 animals mate and their offspring is viable (ie. not a mule/infertile) then they are the same species - then are not dog and wolf hybrids fertile? Does this not make them the same species? Biologists/Zoologists???

(what would happen with a chimp and human?!? -eewww)

I want to evolve into something else. I want my kids to be able to fly. How can I force a change in my genetics by myself to enable the first stages of wings and feathers to be included in my children when I reproduce. The thing is I don't want to use any laboratories or unnatural processes.

If evolution did it without laboratories and genetic engineering, surely there is a way for me to deliberately direct these mutations in a positive way by myself.

Thanks for your help in this.

I noticed he has a turtle face. He swims ALL the time. I saw those Animorphs reference books at the mall and I'm thinking he might be ONE! Could he seriously be a turtle? I mean I've never seen him with his shirt off so I can't tell if he has a shell but if he was one of these Animporh people/animals would he?? I know this sounds weird but the idea of neighbor morphing into a turtle makes me nervous. I have noticed the weeds NEVER grow on that side of my yard. Turtles eat stuff like that don;t they? Any help you can give me would be much appreciated. THANKS!

are crickets. They are loud, and one goes "wa wa wa" and the other one says "wa wa wa" and they talk or argue all night. What might they be? Katydids?

the body is about the size of a dime, maybe smaller; really long legs; somewhat hairy; light brown in color; doesn't spin a web. i've looked all over the internet, but can't find a spider like this anywhere. i live in southern arizona, and they are everywhere outside, but they only come out at night and they keep getting in the house.

I have a lot of roaches in my garage... It's impossible to get rid of them without using some sort of insect poison. And we are VERY clean.
I heard the Recluse feeds on cockies.

I have a sneaking suspicion of what these are, but I would be grateful if somebody a little more knowledgeable could take a look at these pictures and tell me what kind of spiders I have in my house. I've seen dozens of them. Thanks in advance for any information you can offer!
Billy.

They can't be any less intelligent than a mosquito, which can fly very well, so why can't butterflies?

Thanks

assuming that mankind still will be feasting on pigs, cows and chickens many millions of years from now, what mechanism do you foresee these animals evolving that will protect them from extinction, or has the evolutionary process pretty much stopped?
